I`m looking for a good deal on a Stillen type III front lip for my TT , so willing to split any costs on Z goodies :)

thats not good seems that he advetise on here i thought at least there would be some sort of discount for Paid Members at least ...

Bare in mind any body parts would be shipped in a seperate box and therefore attract it's own shipping and taxes cost, they would put only very small light weight fiddly parts in with this package at best.

Assuming your getting turbo's mark, then as they weigh a bit anyways, your looking for peeps who want non heavy and non weighty items to be included, again a seperate box would be used attracting additional costs once it passed a certain point of weight and size.

Also consider that your items may have a value of say $1500 whereas the other persons a couple of hundred dollars or less, so you could not go 50-50 on all the costs above the actual cost of item purchase.

Think there is if you purchase items through 300zxclub.com however only those items listed at that time.

Other than that, Z1 pay to advertise their company here and that's it as far as i know.

and whos Jimmer ... .. bloke on the forum ? does he work for some sort of store then

Edited by MarkDerby

Jimmer is a member here who is pretty much on every day and posts alot.

He repairs zeds and does top notch engine builds, you often see thankyou and praise posts for his work.

Rob recently posted Jimmer done some good work for him and it would seem 5bolt downpipes were needed, which it seems Jimmer supplied.

Selling parts is not what he does as far as i know.

Your only real option is the US or second hand as stated previously, i've never known a UK supplier of 5 bolt versions except myself some years back and even then, mine were all from the US.

You could get custom made however the costs would be fairly high.

cheers for that ...

i have decided to go down the new route .. and get the 2560r's

still cant bereave how hard it is to get good parts in the uk

Z1 will put many parts in one package. My last shipment from them the box was 2 metres long by 80 cm x 80 cm and weighed about 100 kg. You can save your order in their cart until you have everything you need and then they will quote shipping. I've done a few with them and my last was total of $3000 plus $600 shipping which is not cheap and then on top of that there is duty to pay. Still cheaper than buying in the UK though lol. I was quoted £2500 for a new gearbox and got one from the states (not Z1) for £1700 inc shipping :)

Sorry your point was saving on postage and duty which will not be the case. Z1 will get a quote for the package and it's based on the weight of it. Duty is based on value so you might as well just get your own. As a matter of interest if you buy secondhand from Z1 it will not attract import duty :)

i know you can get charged duty on 2nd hand goods ..

it does state that on the HM site ..

I thought shipping worked in bands e.g 0-10kg/10-15kg with it not getting that much more each band you went up. I've ordered stuff from the States before and while adding to my cart the cost of shipping stayed the same.

You could ask them to put a lower value on the customs docket or mark it as a gift to give you a bigger allowance, i've done this plenty of times. Bear in mind that the value written is the value insured for.

Its worth keeping an eye on : http://www.300zxclub.com/store/

Its the Clubs store that has been setup in conjunction with z1, AMZ and others, to offer dicounts to members (free to join club) , and they run 3 or 4 different special offers each month (on the homepage), which are voted for the month before by club members.

You place your order with them and it gets sent from Z1, or whoever, as if you ordered directly from them, but cheaper.

whats you list then ...

Selin translator kit with a Stillen rear A/R bar
