so nearly there.........

Well the old girl has been sorned for 8 months now, when i got her, she was full of crappy veilside skirts, huge rear spoiler and a manky front bumper.

The bumper is back to OEM, the rear spoiler was sent off to hollowpoint as a freebie, and a new fibreglass 89 spec has been fitted along with new brake light.

The skirts came off to expose all manner of rust issues, so after much removal and messing around, new parts sourced, and all the old yucky stuff replaced, new inner ,outer sills, and returns all replaced. Waited to long for my welder to turn up, so bit the bullet and got my own. After a few trails i started to weld myself. Basically anything that looked like it would fail in the near future, has been cut out and replaced.

Also fitted a complete set of unorthodox pulleys and belts.

Just a last small section of welding to do before mot, but will need advice from the tester re its location and how to do it, and to replace a hicas ball joint

Not bad as i removed battery 5 months ago, charged it a few days back. Put it on this evening just to see what happened, started instantly, a bit tappy, but within 5 mins all was purring, all gauges working and everything electric working.

No pics yet as still doing a full journal.
