Hi there, Merry Christmas one and all...

Quick question, I have a 1995 N/a in red. It doesn't have the normal 'table top'(?) spoiler, it has the lower foam one. This is cracking all down one side. The rest of my body work is in great condition.

I was thinking about removing it and having nothing at all??? Obviously I get it filled and resprayed etc.. Just wondering what people's thoughts are???

And are there any pitfalls I should look out for during this process?

Many thanks for any advice,

Adz

its all down to personal preference - most people would agree that the SWB suits being spoiler-less whereas the LWB looks a little odd & needs a spoiler on

99 spec all the way for me!! :D

+1

If it was me I would go for the fibreglass replacement for the OEM foam spoiler

I'd agree. I took my table top one off cos they look rubbish and put a foam one on. This started to crack within weeks so i went for the carmad fiberglass one and haven't looked back :)

Mine has been spoilerless for 4 months, but I fitted a new spoiler yesterday, I'm still undecided lol

Dont smooth it, been there done that. Three main problems

1 from certain angles it ruins the looks of the car, makes it look lanky and unsporty.

2 it makes it harder to park, you loose your referance point.

3 its supposed to be there as production went on it got bigger infact. And they ehere trying to keep costs down

without a spoiler it looks like a lower spec model :lol:

The LWB really needs a spoiler, I had mine smooth for about an hour and i thought it looked crap

Had to get some bolts and tigerseal for the new one to go on :lol:

Spoiler or not to spoiler, both LWB and SWB Zees can look good with or without, it is all down to the other bits you have on the car, mainly the stance though and the right wheels/offset :cool3:
