been thinking of selling my zed just don't feel that into this one and with a little one on the way not got the money to do what I want to it. So I'm considering selling the crx, lexus and the 300 and just getting one car for us both to use.

Also nothing to do with anyone on here but I'm just not enjoying the forum as much as I used to

Just not sure what to do really

I got that feeling myself recently (Although without the little one on the way) and we decided to keep one Z instead of both, buy a Renault Espace as the practical Diesel bus/van and we're looking for a 735 BMW for a motorway cruiser. I drive down to London once a month and it's painful in the Z tbh, I enjoyed it the first couple of times, but after a while...... maybe do the same? Sell the Lexus and the CRX, use the Z as a weekend/track/event/show car and buy yourself something nice and luxurious to drive around in day to day and share?

To be honest the zed is just a toy for me the wife always uses the lexus and I have a works van maybe I'm just feeling like this cause it's getting into winter lol

I know the feeling bud, I have just bought a Merc CLK350 Sport convertible, I have the Zed in the lockup and I still drive the van LOL. Over £1000 in insurance on the Merc and the Zed a year!!

Over £1000 each? Or combined?

We've nearly finished stripping the yellow Z now and the grey one is all in bits having bits from the yellow one put in it (Interior, dash, heater matrix, etc.) so I've been happily driving the espace. I am now getting the feeling the Z won't properly see the road again until Spring/Summer tbh.

Combined, still a lot for one income:mad2:

£690 Merc

£410 Zed

Just sorn it and have a look next year, March, April time, mine is having work done and costing me zero in insurance, tax and fuel.......miss it greatly though but will come back better than ever next year for lots of fun

^^snap! I keep looking at old fords and stuff on ebay but then I snap back to reality and realise I have a twin turbo supercar sat on the drive that is far more fun than anything else, get something sensible to replace the crx and lexus, and keep the Z! :thumbup1:

We cant park cars next to each other on our drive :tt2:

Its a long line but at least they aren't on the road... pearl white 300zx NA, black 300zx TT, black Golf GTI, black 307 HDI... and the V8 range rover dumped on the garden

Really - painful Alex? How so? I actually find that the ZX is superb as a GT cruiser - it's what the car was built for. Even though mine is relegated to a weekend/holiday toy, I still prefer to use it for longer journeys despite having 2 new cars.....!!

Eeek - that sounds expensive mate! I have a new-ish Merc SLK 350 AMG sport and I pay about £485 to insure it - with Julia on the policy too. I thought that was expensive TBH; as I only paid £350 last year!!!

And the ZX is on a classic policy at £280 (although I was too impatient to wait for Footman James to call me back and I could have got it for £258); again with Julia on the policy also!!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

tbh I think it's the fact I'm doing it regularly. I start to miss certain comforts like a smooth ride, smooth silent engine, constantly watching my fuel guage, oil pressure guage, petrol guage, etc. I get in the espace (And previously other cars that weren't like the Z) and I don't care, I don't need to. I think it's probably more to do with the lowered suspension, uprated brakes, strut braces front and rear, barely any interior in the car, uprated exhaust, dump valves etc. There is just TOO much noise and too many things going on in the Z for a long journey. I'm sure a standard one would still do a lovely job of cruising though. Mine originally had sport suspension on it that was leaking, then rock solid Tein coilovers, now it has standard shocks with lowering springs, so it's never quite been standard, if you get me?
