in 3 months time, nearly fell over, shell has only had the symptoms for about 3 week's

she stopped having periods a about 7 month's ago, she done a few test's when it happened that were negative and went to the doc's, he put it down to stress (it has happened to her 2 previous time's before)

i jokingly told her to get a pregnancy test at the weekend as she was showing certain symptom's, she took the test and it was posotive, so six posotive test's later she went to the doc's this morn who told her she was 6 month's

silly thing is in 3 month's of dieting she has lost 2 and a half stone?

to say im shocked is an understamment

so ive got 3 month's to get the front room turned into a nursery, havent got a clue what to do, dont know if im coming or

well erm... SURPRISE!!!! ... and congratulations. :)

This sounds very familiar. Our now 6 year old Michael was a surprise too. After a whole year or so with no period, I had all the tests through the doctors right down for checking specific chemical balances and intricate nonsense I found myself 26 weeks pregnant.

So after a good 12 months dry, being vampired constantly by doctors, several failed pregnancy tests, tickets booked to emigrate to New Zealand and 10 days left to go, house completely cleared out and possessions sold.... I was laying in the bath and all of a sudden my belly started moving all aver the place.

The doctors reaction was "that's impossible" LOL! Alex's reaction was "Guess I'm emigrating too then".

She's probably giving a sigh of relief that there is nothing wrong, and you watch the weight pile on now because it's catch up time with making sure the baby is healthy. Good luck :)

Yeah Rose went from being a size 12 and thinking she had put on weight from some chemical imbalance to having a belly the size of a beach ball within a couple of days, literally the minute she knew she was pregnant, her body just took over and ballooned.

Great news mate, welcome to the club :D

I had no kids when I first joined here, and by January I'll have four!!!! It's what life's all about bud and I know you'll love it. Scary times ahead but I'm sure you'll rise to the occasion and love every minute of it.

And I bet you'll cry at the birth LOL :p

And I bet you'll cry at the birth LOL :p

Six years on, I still remember the moment Michael came out and was placed on Roses chest after me cutting the cord. Rose looked at me and I looked at her, was like some kind of movie lol.

But be prepared, that's the best part about parenthood! Nah just kidding, the best bit is when you send them off to college/uni and get your house back, nah just kidding again, parenthood is great, but it's also very stressful, it'll take a while for you to balance it out, more than half the time you want to rip the little buggers heads off, but you don't, because you love them without any explanation why (Is it any wonder so many parents get carted off to the nut house?) and all the silly little things they do to make you smile, make everything else worthwhile.

Congratulations Al, trust you to leave things late to sort out, lol

Congrats to you both ................. people carrier for you next :helpsmilie:

my grandson is now 12 weeks old and lovin' seeing him when I can ................

A woman I used to work with in a pub (who was slightly on the large side, well no, actually she was obese), didn't realise she was pregnant until she went into labour during her shift. It was a bloody right mess in the kitchen that night. Eww.

Congrats - hope everything goes to plan with the scans and so on and good luck getting that room ready!

Erm, wasn't that an episode of Shameless? :D

Could have been, but if I wanted to watch a program like shameless I'd just open my living room curtains instead! Maybe it happens more often than you would think!

I am not in any way suggesting Shell is a fat minger however, just to be clear!
