Running 470bhp for stock block is this is this safe for engine or block??

I would have a guess the general consesus will be 'NO'. OK, you've taken care of the fuelling by replacing the fuel pump and larger injectors, but those pistons will be right on their limit (if not over their limit) running 470hp.

The real acid test will be to drive it and see what happens. If the engine does blow up, then your aftermarket parts should still be fine to put onto a new block, which gives you opportunity to replace the bearings and pistons and do the job properly.

In the mean time, I would assume the following position whilst driving:

im no engin ebuilder but heres the thing. if you spend all that time effort and cash getting it up and running it runs and works for x amount of miles. when it does go pop cos youve not done this or that, your gonna spend the next six months kicking yourself why you didnt do it properly first time round. do it properly once and you might find it heavy on tthe pocket do it half arsed twice or even three times and your gonna end up worse off. and seriously cheesed off and depressed. trust me ive been down this road myself i ended up selling the whole cra out of frustration. silly decision but id had enough. i intend to not make that mistake with the zed.

So what bhp Can be safe for stock pistons and engine?

Can it be 400bhp+ with that mods?

Well I got spare engine anyway if that one breaks. lol

I love that first guy answer as well lol

400 sounds a lot safer - if you're fuelling is ok. It's still a bit of a lottery though, there's just no way of knowing what the internal condition of the engine is.

I would recommend getting that other engine built up using decent bearings and pistons, hopefully before the existing one goes pop. That way you can at least sell your old engine to offset the cost of the new parts and engine swap (unless you are doing the work yourself).

Good luck

Well I will do all job myself so that's much cheaper.

But anyway some people running 430bhp+ with stock pistons stock not rebuild engines with no problems, so I will try to run 450bhp and will se what happens lol :thumbup1:

But does anyone knows about other engine likes skyline rb25det ?or 2jz supras? if those engine running nearly 500bhp with stock pistons not rebuild engine is still not safe? Or is this Vg30DETT engine is not strong :(((

2jz's run forged internals as standard thats why.

So how much is cost forged internal for 300zx?

by forged internals as in the rods and the pistons, get the crank balenced and knife edged, it depends on what brand you go for , there are cheaper ones and diabolical ones that will hold +1000 bhp, i saw a set of weisco forged piston+rings on ebay last week go for about £450 brand new. rods are about the £ 6-800 mark, crank work at a good machinist is probly about £300. sometimes there are good deals about, and if your doing it urself ultimatly ur always gona save money
