hehe, you have a point.

I'll PM you just to let you know if I have the arse or not after I've picked them up, then you can point and laugh at me if the gamble went pear shape lol

It is a bit of a gamble; he only shows one wheel... but for that price it's not a bad punt - well fingers crossed ;-p

could do with some bigger brakes on that mate :innocent:

Me likes, nearly bought some very very similar for a previous car of mine...

NICE!!!!

If you really want to set them off paint ya calipers red or blue or whatever takes your fancy, you need caliper paint to do it, due to the high temps. i had mine apart at the time but most people just mask em up.

You cant see the wording too well in the picture but i left it in silver, you cant do this 2 ways, smear grease on it where you dont want paint and wipe off after, or paint the whole lot and use a toothbrush sized wirebrush to clean out the words, you will notice they have a kind of machined texture in the wording which i thought was a nice thing to keep.

Heres how mine turned out.

No mate, that rim is well to small for a Zed, it will look really bad and you wont have any traction anywhere you go! 215 is what the Zed came standard with on 16" rims (Jap Spec front and rear iirc, uk had wider rears) and everyone knows how bad those are! Dam death traps! I honestly after owning alloys with 225 on the rears would stay very clear, get some alloys with good offset and atleast 8/9J rim!

Depends on driving style if he wants to do some reasonably spirited driving without pushing it hard, drive to work the odd weekend twistys etc they will be fine, i'm running 215 fronts with 285 on the rear. and you will find all drift cars worldwide run 215 or 225 fronts.

yeah would be ideal as long as he has some decent tread on there and doesnt hoof it hard they should be right until he wishes to change them later.

as long as he doesnt run silly camber the rear should have enough grip to bite in i jst wouldnt advise he goes planting it too hard out of the corners

Lol true and noting everything you say guys... New engine has just been finished, the top end is back and the only thing I'm waiting for now is the airbrushed throttle cover.

Here is a taste, will post full project pics soon, it's taken over 4k and a year so far.

This is why I won't be flying around in her! Lol

I will reduce the pic size tomorrow on my pc... Sorry mods!

:-$

Really really really tempted to steal that colour for my balance pipe.

you seem to be going through the same rebuild saga as me mate lol

not my cup of tea but a good price for a set of wheels and tyres!

  • Author

Yeah, rebuilding a new block as we speak, nearly done.

Not sure I like those alloys, the brake calliper is a millimetre away from the brake calipers and had to take them off, if I tightened the wheel it would if been scraping the back of the alloy.

Does anyone know a decent sized wheel spacer to bring the wheel out to level with the body, and so that it doesn't look silly??

Depends on the offset of the wheel... if its only going to hit by a mm just shave the nissan logo off ya caliper, gives you a free 3mm of clearance.
