I've been thinking about this for a while. As the tint is so dark there is a clear boundary between the front and rear of the car, which doesn't look right imo.

I think they go well with the look I have at present with the dark wheels but I really want to change these to a lighter colour. Most probably silver with polished lip(very original I know!) or maybe white/gold with polished lip.

But for now, what do you guys reckon on de tinting the windows?

ive got that look on mine already and im tinting the front windows as it really doesnt look right.

The glass does still have a tint - a bronze tint specifically on my Jap, I have just darkened up the quarter window with a 50% tint, nothing much wrong with yours Daffy

Cheers for the input guys. I very nearly took it off whilst I was sorting the boot interior earlier. Reckon i'll think about it a bit more, expensive mistake if I take it off and change my mind lol.

All i have done is my rear window. It darkens up the cabin enough to make all the rest look tinted :)

if you also decide to lose the rear lights i'll ave em off you cheers!!

I'd leave it on cos it's a pain to get removed. Also, if you tint the front windows with the lightest tint it still seems to match up a bit. Due to the angle of the windows it looks darker when looking at it straight on for some reason.

Still undecided. I'll check out the others at this weekend's meet I reckon. Leaning towards getting rid at the moment.

That was kinda the plan. What time you getting there bud?

Just to mention the 99 spec glass there, they did come with some fancy glass that was different to the earlier models, UV cut was it? It was perhaps that the tint wasn't required with the special coating on the glass.

I took mine off a while back and stuck up some pics at the time and a how to- not sure how to add a link. search for removed window tints. Looks much better without them IMO.

i removed my front tints a few months back best thing i ever did :) looks better and the car is so much more drivable
