supposidly one of the best places around, They have quoted me £165 for a 2hour geometry set up and £20 wheel balancing. How does this sound?? never had this done before to such an extent.

That sounds reasonable if they are going to do a complete set up taking 2 hours.... It should be laser straight and perfect when they're done

If You're in Aylesbury I'd also give Elite Tyres a ring they're in Barking so not a million miles away from you. They have some very good laser kit and give before and after data for you

we charge 2 hours labour at my garage (merc dealer) for a full 4 wheel alignment with all adjustments.

will make a huge difference when set up correctly if yours is out!

i reckon its well fooked fella as ive added all of the above and not had anything checked or balanced yet :( so Im gonna hope it does make an improvement

Had mine set up a couple of years back, then it was £140 all in including balance.

So your price is fair. makes a hell of a difference too.

I had mine set up a couple of years ago - 6 hour full custom setup with road test was about £300. very very happy indeed with the results and money well spent!

I had a similar scenario. Installed the full works suspension wise. The sgeometry set up mad a HUGE difference. Completely transformed the car

Hi Craig,

I'd go for it at that price mate! And I have heard only good things about Black Boots in Chesham.

Richard:cool2:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Their price has doubled then in a couple of years. I'd still say worth it as when I spoke to them, they certainly sounded like they knew their business and wanted to set things up correctly.

mine only cost £90 and the set up mint. so i would say its massively overpriced imo :(

got mine set-up not long back here took just over 4 hours in total with two visits and around £300 but perfection cost's! :thumbup1:

dan.:cool3:

I've been given a guide price of around £15 per component adjusted, setup on a Hunter laser alignment system.

I assumed that was a pretty good price...

you will all get the same results as i did on the hunter system, I think you have all been robbed. wtf £300 is just taking advantage and 3-4 hours :lol:

Ill do some calling around and see who else does it locally before getting it done

It's not expensive when you consider the price of them not getting it right first time ;)

LOL - yes Dave but you live in North Wales mate. Everything is so expensive down here in Buckinghamshire.......

Sounds about right to me Paul - I had the SLK done at my local dealership after clattering over the broken, pot-holed roads last winter.

Naturally they wouldn't do this under warranty so it cost me £198 all in (with some adjustments needed) including the VAT.

Still on the up side, I did get a new AMG wheel under warranty; as some of the laquer had started to peel on one of the fronts!!

WIM are good a few mates use them, but they are sponsored by them, i used motorworx in marlow, they know there stuff. Another option is Horsham developments just outside newbury
