Insurance

Help !

I'm having a nightmare finding companies that are willing to insure an imported 300ZX TT. It's got non standard wheels and an Apex'i boost controller installed.

Has anyone got any suggestions please.

I vote Bell Direct. They let me have two cars with full NCB on both and business use and insured NCB.

You could try www.firebond.co.uk.

I am currently with them and are paying £371 for Comp with no No claims but limited to 6k miles p/a. Only another £65 to take it up to 10K mile p/a.

Interested to hear how quick these insurance companies shell out in the event of theft, accident or fire. Just curious as from past friends' experiences insurance companies kinda rip us off demanding huge amounts of money yet when we claim they tell us to "sex and travel" and offer stupid money after at least a 6 month wait.

Still think insurance ( vital yes I know for liabilty etc ) is tied in with the government to continue to rip the motorist off...

I was insured with NU Direct, had my front end caved in. I called insurer claims dept the day, and agreed to meet their assessor at body shop of my choice next day. Went over damage with him and the body shop manager. He wrote out the details agreed the job and faxed official confirmation to bodyshop 2 hours later. My car was back on the road 14 days later. If I had gone to their bodyshop would have got a free courtesy car too, but I like my own choice. Not too shabby, well until NU Direct decided not to offer cover on imports anymore.
