I currently have a smoothed tailgate on my slicky with the perspex strip, I am thinking of reverting to my tailgate with the '89 spec spoiler. What do you guys think??

I think your a brave man with a Z32 sat on a slope near that much water, especially if its on its reputable hand brake!

 

I prefer the smooth rear to the 89 spec spoiler, you could have a 94-98 like mine!

I really cant decide between the two Dave, they both look great!

 

One thing I will suggest though and its purely IMO, if you go for the '89 spoiler it needs the black sticker part putting on, if its not already. IMO ;)

I prefer the smooth personally, and it'll be cheaper and easier to get that re-done. But as it's 90% certain i'll be selling soon I wanted to know what the majority view was. Yours is looking mint btw Quavey, love the new wheel colour.

Ageed mate. The sticker makes it look complete.

Deffo without bud, looks sooooooooo kool this way mate, the rear spoiler on a lwb, but not a shortie bud

shortys def get away with being spoilerless easier. but a spoilerless zed is like a castrated zed. somethings missing and it doesnt look quite right

I think a shorty needs a spoiler, unless it is a vert..... only my opinion buddy, but still looks great!!!!!!

If your selling then i would save your money and leave it as is. i very much doubt a spoiler would make any differance in the chance of selling it.

 

Plus it would give the new buyer the option :)

Only reason it needs doing is because Dan who does all my bodywork didn't do it. Bought it of a guy on here and the filler has sunk where he smoothed it. Not a happy bunny.

I'll get it sorted anyhow. Just wondering if a more popular choice was 89 spec. If it was a massive majority I'd have sorted the other tailgate. I much prefer the smooth, that's why I changed it.

More I think about it the more I want to keep it lol.

Would a mid level be out of the question? Similar to Marty's swb, i find them quite cool although you cant see much in your rear view mirror.

......but as much as I like the 89-spec, the smooth look does actually suit the SWB (the LWB just doesn't look right without the spoiler) so to save you the hassle and cost, I voted leave it be!

Glad to see the masses agree with me for once!! I spoke to Dan@Caversham Coachworks earlier and we've agreed on sorting my current tailgate. I really like the smooth look :thumbup1:

I think i'll be back in love with it when I have these couple of very minor issues sorted. I'm pretty ocd about it and want it 'perfect' .
