I'm near ripley if you want to pop up!

Simplest test with that is similar to the coil pack/injector test matey. Unplug it while running, see if it makes a blindest bit of difference. If it makes absolutely none, it's capputsky, if it makes a difference, it MIGHT be capputsky, or it might be something else.

the car wont idle or run above 2k and its a bitch to start ...

unplug it and it will sit there idle and running smooth to about 2.5/3k and hits like a rev limiter ..

come up in your mondeo you can borrow it for a week or so aslong as i can have it back!, my cars still in a few bits and its got a dual cone on the end i had trouble with idle and one cone as soon as i put that on it was idles perfect so your welcome to come borrow it aslong as you can drop it back some time!, cheers chris

Is your car still not running right with andy's ECU and correct chip?

If your engine is as bad as described above, then the MAF would come up as a fault in a simple ECU diagnostic.

Other than that, did you fit your front mount yourself? if so be 110% certain you have the pipes on the correct way, belive me with some it's easy to get mixed up and will make the engine run rough if not correct.

yes still running bad with andys ECU .....

and the intercooler can only be fitted one way as its its two halfs welded togeather

and the pipes down alowe to be fitted anything diffrent

ECU is coming back at code 55 .. all normal

i have been thou all vac pipes and have new ones on and is plumbed in correctly as i have checked 5 times now ..

just been out and tested car with cbvd Maf .. and its still the same ...

its strange as the car will run with out it ... on andys ECU

but Baz modded one it will run with it just not very well

shame about that it didnt fix, i know that maf worked perfect on sunday dont know what to try next...

2 halves stuck together or 1 big one makes no odds mate, spent ages with a guy once who had very similar problems, after much testing and head scratching the guy decided to swap the pipework around and yes while it looked that it can only go one way, it didn't.

Once swapped all was good and not 1 problem.

maybe supply some pics where the various pipes connect?

you must leave it without power for a set amount of tiome 20 minutes or so, to reset the ecu. i dunno if this affcets the maf on a zed 100% but when it broke on my vauxhall i had to do this without doing it it made no difference, and obviously we all know that the ecu needs to relearn settings after poor ones have been used. worth a go isnt it.

  • Author

but if the ECU hasnt been pluged in to the wire loom for 24hrs .. then it should be Reset ... as when i pluged it in today at 3pm ish it should of started the car on a relearn

well have unpluged the batt now see what happends tomorrow

Mark you have your fuel lines mixed up, you presently have the fuel supply from the filter piped to the original fuel regulator area and this should be piped to the damper with the fuel regulator been the last part of the outgoing pipework, with all of the tech advise we have given you over the phone accounts for nothing if the basic set up is wrong.

but the fuel reg isnt connected right now ... and the filter is connected to the Right side pipe of the fuel rail and the return is connected to teh Left ?

In one way I want this to fix it, in another way, I really don't want this to fix it, lol. GL buddy.

changed the pipes around and made not one bit of differents ...

wish i never got this fooking car its been nothing but pain in the side ..

Whos got a car and trailor local that would be willing to take it up to zed world ..
