Amazing though how many nice emails I have received, along with some very nasty emails believe it or not, and pleanty of childish stuff too.

But got the gist of it after reading a couple of times. Find it astonishing that people go out of there way to leave such comments.

I personally, and I'm not just saying this because I own it, but I would NEVER replace that interior with leather, It feels fantastic and for me would take away with the originality of the car.

You're welcome mate - it's just awesome! And I agree with you, I'd take the car for what it is. That's a genuine future collectors' example which only comes up once in a while.......

 

............It's just me; I prefer leather interiors, which all my cars have. What I meant was, if it came with factory leather then it would (in my eyes) be the absolute perfect 300zx!

 

Good luck with the sale - I'm sure that will go to a good home.

its simple, you buy it, put in the leather and keep the original interior in dry storage so when you come to sell it, you put the original seats back in with out a mark on them.

The seat color combo and material, is unique to the Version-S, so replacing to leather would be a no no for me; plus would make the interior no different from any other Z as changing to leather no matter what style is quite easy these days. However I think if you tried to replica the OEM Verson-S interior, it would be more difficult!

only reason id change it, is to keep it in storage and protect it ready for when i came to sell it, id put the original seats back in, or if i was going to a show, id put them back in. but for other use, id put the leather interior in

Well I'd likely keep the interior as is too as I kinda like it,

 

I would put the original wheels in storage and put a new set of alloys and tyres on it

for daily use, lastly I might do a manual conversion but only on the basis of finding a

gearbox which is in just as good a condition as the rest of the car and I would get Jeff

to fit it to be sure !

I would leave it as is I think. Leave it in the garage and every now and then get in it and make car noises LOL. To scared to take it out so idiots can **** it up for me !!!!!

I agree mate - and if I bought that car I too would leave well alone!!

 

.......And in case anyone thinks I'm contradicting myself (as happens on internet forums LOL); if, for example, you were also selling a genuine 99-spec TT with original factory leather, then I would take it in preference.......:wink:

 

Some things are best left as originally intended in order to keep them "special."

 

Did it come from Japan with the UK spec rears......
