Ok..can't figure the embed bit.

So, although i didn't know it at the time, I was in front of someone who was video'ing.

 

ignore the erratic/twitchy driving style... it was my first time out in the Zed on the track and was testing it a bit and also looking to find some sideways action when I could. ;)

 

shame he didn't keep up... the next couple laps I really let loose ;)

 

 

**Anyway... any thoughts on the Black puffs that come on heavy boost?? coming from the Left bank...

 

Places you can see it the most: seconds in - 1:30, 2:29, 3:12... and then the pass I make at 3:25... I even get a bit of burn-off out the left bank.

 

I know it's not major, but any Thoughts on a diagnosis??

As a layman, I would hazzard a guess at running too rich on boost maybe ?

Great vid bud,its great to see a zed sideways :tt1:.You need to check the o2 sensor on that bank is working,id also be concerned that an injector may not be spraying correctly.

I'm on there, If you look at 8:08 you will see the prick completely cuts me up and nearly hits me, i wasn't happy about it trust me, in the end it was safer to let the prick pass, oh and Boomin33, you would love to see the comments the author put about you on the 350Z club, "Not everybody knew how to drive evidently. Mr White ZX was a complete kn*b"

.. f*ck him. who ever he is. I was just playing around on first laps I ever had in this car.. figuring out reactions, boost on bends etc. I agree it could have been a little smoother.. got it more dialed on subsequent laps

 

a Kn*b on the track? - yep... probably a little guilty on that one, for the fact there are others on the track. video is misleading on distances, though. every time i kicked it out, it was on cue and away from others..

 

and no one complained or even had witty comments for the hours we stood around afterwards. ... so didn't think it was too bad..

when it comes to footage.... more the merry'ier would be great to find some punter who was shooting from the stands who puts it online..

yeah... I toned it down in the end and edited out where I challenged him to bet on a track or Karting day :) figured it wasn't a very mature 1st post on their forum. better to defuse emotion than to purpetuate it.

 

...a couple people on there sent me a PM saying that it's all for fun and you're supposed to give it 'some. & that some of their guys get a bit big-headed

That c*ck in the 350 drove like a cu*t,he lost it before camp at the chicane and understeered off the track when he finally got some steering he just drove back onto the track as if he was the only one driving,and almost hit Murt !! How the guy can say Rob drive like a k**b is a total pisstake.

yep Jimmer. two sides to every story and we rarely see/aknowledge the other!

 

I gave it a good rant yesterday and it was pulled within minutes. I left a friendly one today... as it's the only way forward. Never know when you'll need it, in the future.

 

Thanks for the heads up on my Injectors/ O2 sensor. Will look into that.

*you planning on any track sessions this summer? I kind of like the idea of nighttime 1/2 session... cooler air etc.

As for that 350z owner, try not to let him to get to you. From what i can see you were clearly a LOT faster than him and those in front of you. You were taking it steady on that lap, stuck behind a couple of cars and having a bit of a play, all good fun and harmless.

 

Your two current posts on the 350z site are polite, mature and respectful. His responses are egotistic and abusive. Hopefully he might grow a pair if he replies again.

 

Its only a casual track day, some people just take it too seriously.
