 wish i thought of that!

but seriously, do you reckon one of them universal ones would fit??

was thinking it could sit between the lights and the bumper and then between the spoiler (89 spec) and the window glass?

The Z is not a normal shaped hatchback. While the rack might physically fit on the back, I think you'd have trouble securing it safely.

gaz pop down to forset leasuire cycles. my mate used to be the assisant manager, sure there one or two of them still work there, they fitted a bike rack to greg howes lambo a few years back sure they can work out a zed one lol

Wouldn't it be cheaper just to join the RAC or the AA ?

Or do you actually want to ride the bikes on holiday ?

Seriously, need to be careful of two things, Cracking the varnish on the paint and popping out of place or even shattering some glass....

Good luck in the search

Is this for Cornwall?... I'd have thought it was a bit hilly for bikes....

Oh and not to mention totally stuffing up your aerodynamics and maxing fuel usage...

Yes and I'm not looking to break any land speed records for the most economical z. I'm going in convoy with a motorhome and a caravanner so aerodynamics isn't the issue. Fitting two adult mountain bikes are 

Can't the people with the caravan take them for you? :)

No they have 4 bike to take themselves and the motorhome is continuing on holiday for a further 3 weeks after mine so that's not an option either, we broke my brothers roof bars on his freelander trying to carry 4 bikes.

take them to bits and put em in the boot :)

If you can fit them in with a 6 man tent, airbed , clothes, photography equips and general holiday stuff then fair play.

My question was has anybody tried it. The obvious answer is no. I wasn't looking for alternatives as being a fairly awake person I have already thought of them!

I will try and fit one and report back......

I've fitted a rack, a universal one, against the bumper and the tailgate. Though I don't have a spoiler at the moment and replacing with a skin spoiler.

I think you could probably get away with the OEM spoiler, but the rack might rub.

I don't advise fitting it against the back window, you're just asking for trouble putting that amount of weight on the window.

I wanted to use the tow eyes too, but it was a poor fit. I actually hooked them to the inner lip inside the bumper, which I didn't think would be very secure, but it was! TBH it really was the only place they could go...

ok thanks matey.

there is an inner aluminium bumper support which im gonna try and see if i can hook up too :)

what do ya reckon on the fit judging by my pics?

The fit looks good yeah. Once I had mine attached I just had a good hard pull back and forward, up and down and side to side...

It's not going anywhere! :)
