mate in my opinion you need as much rubber on the road as you can with these cars ...plus it will make your insurance null and void if you come off the road or crash into someone as the tyres will be deemed as too small for the rims and an un declared mod.......besides that i think it looks awful and looks like some chav has put some cheapo remoulds on too small cos its all they can afford ....dont do it mate

I have 265/35/18 9.5J Rear and 255/35/18 9.5J Front.

Sidewalls on the back are straight, and there's a little bit of stretch on the front.

Now picture a 225 on a rim that'll stretch a 255. I'd rethink your options a bit, especially for the back.

Dont they have a 225 tyre as standard on the back anyway with 280 bhp.

Jap specs yes, UK's had 245... The issue with stretch is:

  • It looks gay
  • Its very very dangerous
  • Its illegal
  • It looks shit
  • The police will rape you for it
  • You will make your insurance invalid
  • Stretch really is for bummers who want to be "scene"
  • You can easily scrape your wheels
  • It makes cars handle crap
  • Finally, did I mention? It looks absolutly ****

:D Hope this clears things up ;)

or run with a little more negative camber for an ultra cool look:

I think it really depends on how much the "stretch" is.....

I have got my tyres stretched, but only a very small amount, and i think it looks cool.
