Mechanic\Competent Garage needed

Hi

My 300zxtt has just come back from the garage with all the problems it went in with, does anyone know a competent mobile mechanic or garge that can fix it? I have money, which for some reason puzzles garage mechanics! I have had this problem time and time again with a JZA70 Mk3 supra and a Rev3 Turbo MR2 they always come back from the garage with the same problems that they went in for and usualy my wallet would be £500 the lighter.

Im in Preston Lancashire and i've heard of ZedWorld but would like to see if theres anywhere nearer.

Thanks in advance

Leigh

Alright Leigh, if I was you, I would take it to Zedworld mate, I don't know of anyone nearer, but I can tell you that Zedworld do a belting job, and would sort your problems out for you. So much so that I will not take my ZX to anyone but Jeff and Jamie at Zedworld. I think you may get a lot of people giving you the same advice, good luck with whatever you decide....:hammer:

There's a chap near Manchester that is very experienced with the 300zx. He's done some engine rebuilds, auto-manual conversions, reshells and many repairs.

I have used him a few times so can personally vouch for him, I think 'Bird' on here had a reshell, engine rebuild and lots more done by him.

The chaps name is Phil.

363 Manchester Road, M297DX (about 30mins from you?)

01942 883348

Highly recommended and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the prompt replies lads, i'll give Phil in Manchester a ring when i get chance. I'm a bit p****d off as i just MOT'd it and re-insurred it today and was hoping to get a bit of pleasure out of it, with the Supra off the road im getting sick of the gutless Volvo.

Seconded!

Jeff is 100 or so miles from me but I still prefer to make the trip to Zedworld; just to ensure that someone who knows these cars inside out will work on it and diagnose/fix any problems properly!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

What are the problems fella?

Power Loss, running lumpy and front caliper sticking. Car feels like its lots half its power but the turbos spool up nicely and blow off with pressure, it does smoke a little from one exhaust tail too.

Retarded ignition, boost leaks, det sensor fault, tps incorrectly set, throttle balance way out, faulty air flow meter, any combination of these will and can cause issues similar to what you have.

You need a boost leak test doing, a ful diagnostic to check settings and sensor operation anything less is wasting time and money.

Caliper issue will need either a rebuild or a replacement caliper which is often the quickest and most economicaly way to go.

Hope that helps

Jeff
