Looks jap to me, no cruise and looks like its got folding mirrorsa also 100,000km... not miles?. Also a rear tailgate skin!

(Although I admit its got UK bumpers and UK nose badge/panel)

I wouldnt be going for that one!

If that's the dealer I think it is I wouldn't touch it either. Agree about KM instead of miles and folding mirrors!

I don't know if it is the same dealer but there is/was one in High Wycombe that would buy shed's, lie to you about the history, parked the cars in very tight drive ways so you couldn't look round them easily and wouldn't let you have a drive. So best avoided really.

But as I said I don't know if it is the same dealer or not mate.

i wouldnt be buying it really too far away for a start

but if i had that kinda of money id probably jump in

the N/a is good but im too used to it allready(the speed anyway) im on the look out for a tt the now

The problem is that somebody could have a look at that car and assume that all zeds are like it. It's badly advertised zeds like that that tar the rest of us...

true mate, it's that sort of thing that keeps the prices so low.

Not quite with yer what's wrong with it fellas.

It's a series 4 which don't have boost gauges and certain other things were optional too, cruise being 1 of them, i think!

Certainly looks to be full UK spec to me and the pic that might look like folded mirrors, to me ain't.

A series 4 TT with Cambelt done at less than 2.5K is bit of a baragin imo. (subject to good body work underneath)

Put it this way, I rang about this a while back, I was told it was no more than 2 owners, turns out its 7 after an HPI check.

The guy has advertised it over the past couple of months in 2 or 3 different garage names.

And different prices.

If you want it he will take £1800, but tbh I felt something wasnt quite right so never bothered to look.

It's also missing the headlamp washer switch on the headlight pod.

That's the clincher for me as well.....

.....and I know the dealer in question!! I live about 8 miles from Wycombe......:innocent:

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

its a uk, well uk rear bumper and front indicators and sidelight arrangement. wortha veiw with your eyes wide open if its close i spose.

Exactly mate! requesting to see the Cambelt and clutch invoice might reveal a known (to this forum) garage or person who could give further background on the car and certainly veiwing and giving it the once over in person, if alls well, could be a bargain at the sub 2k price stated above :-)

UK Series 4? I didnt think any S4's made it into the UK...

Besides it has an 89 rear spoiler and it does have a boost gauge. Its at the bottom of the speedo... :s

UK was until 96 mate as far as i was aware, continued in Japan thereafter.

Am saying series 4 based on the add, of course maybe even a series 3.

Certainly has later interior to suggest that too.

Seems a lot of effort to change various things, if the car is not pretty much as stated, when the changes have no real effect on value or even personal choice.

Just to satisfy myself lol i rang this guy 5mins ago and it's just been sold, so kinda finishes that off :)

Oh and well done on the boost gauge, i simply accepted what was said above and never really looked to double check. dohhhh

UK only till 94, US till 96 :) JDM till 00/01 last cars sold

Quite a few dodgy cars down there, no doubt the help and advice forum will be awash with "I've bought this, it was a good price BUT"... lol

Why would a '94 UK zed be a k reg? Why does it have no headlamp washer switch? I thought that s3/s4 had the SRS airbags? As mentioned it has a boost gauge.

The car may well be OK but I very much doubt that it is a '94 UK as the advert claims.

I dont think its a UK car either although HPI says the cars was first regsitered on the 5/02/1993 which would make it quite rare to see an import registered then, but it would be very easy to find out by just asking for the chassis number, UK and JDM cars dont have the same configuration on the chassis plate, unless its been cloned or messed about with which personally I think it has been as there is just something not quite right with this car. Its recorded as having 8 previous owners.

That car has the later 95/96 seats and the lower dash cloth is also from the later cars, which wasnt on UK cars, it also doesnt have the cruise switch as someone mentioned but if you look where the cruise would be there is either an aftermarket rear fog light button or aftermarket rear fog light [red light] where that crusie switch would be! It also doesnt have the button on the right stalk that you push for headlight wash

Sorry mate, the letters used in your registrations means diddly squat to me, we don't have em over here :-)

All i was pointing out was it was stated in the ad 94, meaning either a series 3 or 4 and as Quavey pointed out, UK cars go up to 94, so that fits.

The interior is later spec imo which also suggested the same.

I can understand someone fitting a UK front or rear bumper if thats whats available when being in a bang, but clearly makes no sense in someone doing both bumpers for any reason i can think off.

However it was fairly cheap and imo worth checking out in the flesh to see exactly what is the story, if indeed it has one. As that is the only way to be sure what it is or was, oh and year for the likes of me!
