Just watched the first episode of the new series.

Yep, very good so far :cool2:

It's got a different swing to it than the original 70's series with Jack Lord. This time around it's not the Hawaiian police department, but a special task force, headed up by Steve McGarrett.

So nice to see that all the old stuff is still there, the tile music is the same, some of the title sequence's are the same, even their office building is the same as the old one. The team is made up of the same characters, and there is even a 1968 black Ford Mercury (only fleetingly for this first episode anyway)

Great stuff, I'll be watching the rest now :D

Watched this last night and really enjoyed it..

What's the connection then Dave??

Well it seems no one is going to get this (or their not bothered! ;) )

In the opening titles you see a battleship, which is the USS Missouri. This ship was the one used for Steven Seagals movie Under Siege.

What's Hawaii five-0? Obviously I am not old enough to remember this........lol......:2guns:

Late 60's/early 70's cop show.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062568/

Ffs :lol: I googled and searched and thought it might be something to do with the director lol. The trouble s that clip showing the ship was so quick, i must have blinked when it showed lol

When they retired, Steve McGarrett and Dano opened a nightclub. During the day they would audition new acts for the evening shows.

I bet you can't guess what Steve would say if he really liked one of the acts at the auditions?........ :D

Great show! I loved the little homage to the original with McGarrett standing on the balcony in the opening titles.
