HI All,

I've had a Leaky drivers side T-Top for a while, Just near the front window corner.

As a stop gap i tried to plug it with Blu tack but it hasn't really worked.

I'm sure i seen somewhere that you can get something like a gel to expand the rubber slightly or something? not too sure if i dreamt it lol. :stupid:

However, i really don't want to go replacing seals just for this tiny leak so any help will be appreciated :thumbup1:

Thanks for the advice but I was rather hoping there was an easier way lol. The car is my daily driver so i need to use it everyday for work. I can imagine it taking a fair bit of time to do.

try creeping crack cure from a caravan or camping shop or ebay, also read about rubbing peanut oil into the seals helps soften and expand them.

both have had varied results

I have replaced both targa seals short one and long one that goes arount the targa top, It still leaks when it throws it down. I found the problem area was the right angle where the rubber goes around the top edge of the windscreen. clean it with thinners and when or if it ever stops freezing or raining, pack the area with black windscreen sealent making sure that you leave the drain hole clear. I found this was the problem area. Goog luck.

Captain Trolleys creeping crack cure from ebay fixed mine!

Yes i'd say try this as i've heard numerous good results not sure where it can be sourced though

Thanks for all the advice. Like you said there, i need to get some time when its not raining/snowing and i'm not working etc to have a decent go at it. it's just so damn annoying getting wet on the way to work when i'm in my car. :(

Just a thought here for the leak on the corner of my t-top.

If i took the roof off, smeared the rubbers with Vaseline then put the roof back on, would this form a temporary bond to stop the water?

Can anyone see any detremental effects of doing this?

Cheers

Peter

Vaseline is an ok cure but I believe I have read somewhere that it may in the long run damage the rubbers, peanut oil is a better option as it makes the rubbers expand slightly.

Got some of that Gummi Pledge stuff and i can highly recommend it. Its completely cured the passenger side and 90% cured the drivers side. Gonna give it another coat tonight and see if that makes it 100% :)
