Joking aside its a strange one, no reason that I can think of other than some cross back feed or like you said an earthing issue.

How have you connected the power to the HID`s? maybe try temp disconnecting and seeing if issue goes away, slight possibility the ballasts are leaking electrical pulses, not common but can happen. Could always try individual balasts connected to see if the issue is just one side.

from your sig it looks like your car is an import... so maybe there could be a problem with the conversion setup to MPH....

i used a direct power supply harness to my HID's (with relay) that may also help (about £15 from ebay)

could be then MPH convertor, sometimes the steering goes heavy at slow speeds then picks its self back up? i have also noticed the speedo needle jump at idle when i put the rear heated window on before i had Hids or even switch headilights on..

there is a difference between voltage and current (power).... it may show 14.8 volts but if alternator is having issues the current might not be strong enough....

"HID's require a lot of power"... not a high voltage..

that is why I'm running mine from the battery using a relay.... and not using the 19 year old wiring in the car....

i had a similar issue with mine . the problem was alternator related . power steering fluid had leaked into alternator and was playing havoc

Update. Its stopped doing it completely, maybe its just because they where new?

so the answer is to buy second hand:wack::rofl:
