Hi all, i have bought 3 gauges to fit in the panel Luke supplies from Z Centre:biggrin:

air fuel ratio, boost and oil pressure (all electrical type).

Can i pick up all the connections i need from the ECU which would be easier or to i need to link under bonnet?

If ECU has anyone got a diagram/colour or number guide or if under bonnet same applies..

cheers

James

air fuel can be connected to the ecu but theres two outputs; one for each o2 sensor.

Best thing to do is use a switch to go between sensors.

Oil pressure will need a sender to replace stock to be more accurate {this disables the dash one}

Boost i think you can take from the clocks in the main gauge cluster or use a seperate

sender and plum into the vacuum pipes.

Which guages di you get ?

I've just ordered 3 more iridium drift guages from luke.

Thanks mate, do we have any wiring colour diagrams for ECU and clocks bud?

I bought 3 of those plasma gauges from e-bay:blushing:

I have looked at the drift gauges which look awesome but having spent £2500on my car over the past 3 months on many high spec parts i thought id give them a go as they are only 20 quid each but i almost certainly will buy some good ones next year...

awesome thats just what i was looking for, which one for boost gauge though?

cheers and thanks

Thanks bud, all sorted as the boost gauge comes with a sensor unit which T-pieces in.

How does the Z Centre facia fix to the centre console? i have also had to remove the surround on the gauges but does look miles better as it brings them closer.

They look awesome mate, i will treat myself to some of those for defo! i bought that very same facia bud so mine will look similar but not as good as yours, those gauges definatley are worth the money when they look like that installed.

Hot glue keeps it secure then?

i have connected my air/fuel gauge up today to pin 29 and 55 as suggested and i have installed an inline switch to alternate between banks. the problem being neither side or the gauge gives a reading which is stable and almost flashes a signal on and off?

sounds like its copying the signal the conzult shows when each o2 reading rises and falls...if i was installing a a/f gauge ide be inclined to weld a new boss on the down pipe to get a seperate signal for gauge..just my thought:wink:

they look groovy but as i found out today, when your doing 100mph err i mean 70mph u dont get chance to look around at differnt gauges, personally i only glanced down for a millisecond to look at the speedo travelling at that speed. like em tho

but without going through the pain in the ass of installing a seperate sendor where else can i pick up both bank signals buddy?

cheers

Is the plasma air fuel ratio gauge a narrow or wide band item?

I've bought one too but am not sure which it is and I've read that the narrow band items are useless and can speed up the failure time of the sensors and alter the signal to the ECU and the read out are effectively just a cool led readout!

Has anyone fitted the plasma oil temp and oil pressure gauges on a non-turbo? If so did you use a T piece and did you need to purchase anything other than what was in the gauge set?

no way! jesus they will all look the dogs under swingers.. are one of those air fuel? i havent managed to find a good pick up point yet and mine cheapo ones may not be up to much if they are indeed narrow band...

where did this gauge pod come from

very nice James

I always thought that with an air/fuel gauge you needed a 5-wire o2 sensor?
