Ok as most of you know my Z has been off the road a while on a sorn, I’m now trying to get it ready for an MOT and get on with a few things it needs

I removed the original rear spoiler and planned to fit a fibre glass replacement i purchased from a club member

After numerous attempts to fit it i gave up pending getting a mate to help me who is a little more experienced. Now its off though i keep on thinking if i'd prefer something else, i.e: a 99 spec or maybe a mid-level spoiler i also always liked the idea of the Perspex strip on the rear

Down to the question though lol are the Perspex strips easy to fit and I’ve also heard reports that they are very fragile is Nissan the best choice or maybe Z Centre but i could not seem to find them on the site.

lol it would probably take in less water than the original foam one but its a bit to high ;)

luke from the z centre is cool, call him up and ask him he has many things he doesnt put up on the site, i think he had a breaker recently as well i got some parts from it, he may still have the perspex strip.

btw this is my spoiler, i reckon its very good looking, makes the car look sportier. heres with and without spoiler...

Nissan will be costly from what i remember and i will have to sell my spoiler to if i go for the strip

Hi Chris,

my advice - either stock 89-spec or 99-spec. I'm not too keen on the spoiler-less look for a LWB; it seems unfinished to me somehow....

If you want the perspex strip (or any other OEM Nissan part) give Mike at MJP a call. He's usually cheaper than Z-Centre and he's a top fella! Plus he's one of our traders.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

im currently selling ahigh level and may go down the 89 spec route as im spoilerless atm and the more i look at teh 99 spec the less i like it. but i have a 6 month old persex strip

Thanks Rich i just asked Mike through a thread and agreed im not keen on allot of them i was thinking 99spec or maybe one or two others but very undecided, i was all set to fit the aftermarket 89spec one i have here but have been debating it since removing the old one

@z32bolt We are in the same boat then lol, well i may sell the 89spec one i have but im still a little undecided at the min so just gonna gather various prices for the strip :)

Yes agreed dave i do like the 99spec :)

im waiting on car mad to make a copy of the Kaminari OEM 89 style ....and the front lip for the 99 spec front :)

Nice! i always liked the kaminari spoiler and kit i do really like the idea of the perspex strip though where as the kaminari would eliminate this :(
