.....please.

One of my dipped beam bulbs self destructed. It took me ages to get most of the shrads of glass out of the projector unit without removing the unit itself then went to my local motor factors for a replacement set.

Didn't realise they weren't an 'off the shelf' thing, (DUH!), so figure I might as well bite the bullet and go HID.

Sadly Zedworld are currently out of stock and could use them ASAP because the car's going to be used quite a lot in the dark from now on with almost immediate effect. (Nights drawing in/up at 4am to go to work/back after 9pm/etc)

So what's good and an easy fit etc? Not too worried about price, but I want a decent set and don't trust myself to choose on eBay without a bit of help.

As always, TIA!! ;)

to be honest i think they are all pretty much the same . 6000 bulbs give the whitest light . try to get some with small ballasts if you can as its easier to took them away unless you,ve done away with your original air box as this is a good place to put them so the rozzers cant see em

apparently so . not too sure what the law is but something to do with increasing the brightness of your headlamps over stock . not sure whether you have ever noticed but with normal brighter bulbs for headlights on the packaging it says for show use only . no one takes any notice but if you got the wrong plod at the wrong time you can be done .

thats ridiculous, i can understand if they show the wrong white ie blue pink etc like these kids like to jam into there pugeots. personally i cant see the sense in it being illegal to make your car safer by having better headlights!

i agree with you totally . i think the only time it would become an issue was if the aim was too high . have a look next time your in a car spares shop at the high power bulbs .

You are better with 55w, a bit more woomph about them.

You want H3 and 6000k.

I got mine from this guy earlier this year and they arrived from HK unbelievably within a week :thumbup1:

If you look on ebay also there are extension leads so you can mount your ballasts wherever you like.

One final note - make sure all your headlight adjusters are working so you can get the alignments spot on.

is there summin illegal with these hid kits then :s

There's a thread running on Pistonheads about them.

Apparently they're technically illegal on cars not factory fitted with them as they're supposed to have a self levelling system.

Conversely from what I can gather it's not so much of a hanging offence to fit them to projector units.

Go figure! All I know is that the standard lights are bordering on useless! I'd much rather see where I'm going thank you!

Correct... They must be projector units and self levelling, otherwise they are illegal! So the Zed is partially OK :D

OK, just bought a set of these.

I'm a bit concerned as there wasn't an option to ask for 55w/6000k. Is that adjustable or is it going to be pot luck what I get?

There's no 'contact seller' option.

I've replied to the automatically generated email they sent me when I bought it/them with my requirements so we'll see what happens. They're specified as H3s anyway, so that should be reet.

Bottom of the auction page there are 'Business seller information' details, followed by 'Return policy', follwoed by 'Ask A Question' option - That's what you need.

eBay change the position of the 'Ask A Question' as a lot of complaints about buyers were that they didn't read the item description properly, so eBay moved it to the bottom of the page! It confused me a bit as well ;)

Also on the items won/purchased in your ebay summary, on the right hand side where it says 'more actions', contact seller is available here in the drop down, but by now he has already sent them!!!

Am going to guess you will have those hid's next weds.

Like as been said a doddle to fit.
