Any idea why its wearing a TT front bumper? Thought only th TTs had the IC strakes in the bumper? Not that I'm any great source of knowledge about zeds..

Looks ok, but possibly a bit cheap? A lot of car for £1500 quid and not a lot of info about it... Any service history etc?

Defo have a look first

Looking at the clocks its an NA with a turbo front spoiler

As gary said, replacement front bumper. Often done because of a bump but sometimes as people like the look of the TT bumper (or want it to look like a TT, think Saxo 1.1 with a VTR bodykit :) )

Any zed for £1500 is alot of car for the money, however sign of the times, midwaleszx i think it was had an NA manual for £800 - i know which i would rather have.

Hell two years ago i sold a Taxed and tested gunmetal grey LWB manual TT for £1570, still makes me sick thinking about it but it had to go as no space on the drive. Thats ebay for you!

+1 My thoughts. Certainly not a series 4 which have no boost gauge on a TT.

Doesnt look too bad apart from its gash decals.

However it is an NA automatic, is that what you want?

I think for a start, it won't be too bad. I am thinking about insurance cost if I get a TT. How much would it usually cost for this one say; 38 y/o, 4 years no claims, no convictions on a comprehensive insurance?

Well i have a TT import on a classic car insurance policy with Lynbrook - limited mileage (8000 per year) (needs to be a second car to qualify for said policy)

I am 32 with no claims or convictions, and 4 or 5 years NCB and it costs me about £260 a year.... pretty good if you ask me. In fact its cheaper than my insurance on my old scirocco!

Im 28 with 5yrs no claims no convictions all mods declared inc engine mods agreed value and buy back option 8k miles a year, £320 fully comp on my Jap SWB TT

hopefully will give you a rough idea

Craig

what do you need to know?

im sure most of us have alot of that info stored in our heads lol, as a referance point tho when i looked into insurance the differences between turbo and non turbo werent massive, and the feul consumption side of thing is swings and round abouts. so i went tt

I can't make up my mind what to get, an N/A or TT. Some people say TT is better performance wise but need Turbo attention as maintenance is high on older cars. Some say N/A requires less maintenance but not as aggressive as TT. I had an N/A MR2 once which I enjoyed but Turbo seemed to be better.

I need spec details to compare if somebodt got a web link.:confused1:

TT are only a problem if you buy one that hasnt been looked after, There is a dramatic difference in performance between the NA and TT, However it also has a dramatic difference to your wallet and fuel usage, Are you gonna be running it as a weekend toy or daily driver (not recommended) also what type of driving you doing, If it local town driving I would suggest and NA as your fuel bill will be a bit lighter. Personally for me my car is a toy so ive gone TT and not regretting it for a second. Best bet would be to try and drive both before you buy. Im happy to take you out in mine and im sure there will be someone local with an NA you could try. all depends on your circumstances and the cost your prepared to incur. the zed is a money pit no matter what version you get, if your not spending on general mantainance your buying upgrades ;)

does anybody use their Z as a daily drive car or is it too expensive to run? I do 35 miles both ways to work daily.

yes mate i use mine as a daily driver when the weather is nice, but if your doing 70 miles a day, 350 a week you will definitely feel that you spend a lot of time and money at the petrol station, as thats about a tank a week i would guess.... and it costs about £80 to fill... you do the maths.

On the other hand it does make driving to work a real pleasure, but as Craig has already stated, they really are not the most practical if you are looking for something cheap to run. They are relatively cheap to buy and you get an awful lot of car for the money, but be assured, whatever you buy it for is just the start.... you will be spending on fuel, mods or maintenance for as long as you have her.

Welcome to the club mate, you wont regret owning a 300zx, just make sure shes a good one :cool3:

OK. I went to see the car in E-bay today and... ... disappointed. Not like the picture in the net, I think the dragon is the only one that was good about it. How can people advertise it so nicely and when you come and see it, half of it has fallen apart. The good thing was, I sat in it and I like it very much, feels really sporty. So, off with that one!

Found another in auto trader;

Looks good and seem to be a reputable seller. Will see this at some point, maybe this will be better. :)

Thats a very intereting car, UK front and rear bumpers, also seat belts on the B pillars rather than the doors, showing that its a series 2 car (same with the rear belts not being lap belts) Which would make it later than 1990. I'm not sure about the colour though although its listed as yellow via is reg plate it looks an odd shade to me. Although might just be the camera, yellow UK cars are very rare i believe!
