hey up everyone! ive got a real bad vibration under braking, more noticable when im braking down form higher speeds. i was just wondering what i should be looking for when i get the wheels off. will there be any easyily visable signs as to what is causing the shaking? or am i not going to be able to do anything without replacement parts?

ย

the lad who i bought the car off said the brakes had just been done, so maybe not done right im guessing??

ย

any advice will be greatly appreciated 8-)

if it only does it under braking then it sounds like warped discs to me. take the wheels off and spin the discs by hand to see if they run true, if they snag or catch then you know the discs are gone.

either that or, god forbid, the calipers are loose :S

Tie rods are sometimes a problem when the bushings are worn. If you have to get the rotors machined, do them on the car.

If it's not your discs then it could be the front tension rod bushes.....

.....Jeff will definitely sort it for you next weekend mate; either with a nice set of discs or poly tension rod bushes! And all for not too much cash either.....
