lol, as the title says really, im wondering where i can get one of the gauge pods which sits on to of the blower vents in the middle of the dash. ove got one for the second din unit, but im not too keen really. cheers guys

i like the one groover has in his zed. very sexy not too tall, and mixes well with the overall feel of the dash.

I find the angle slightly low to see the top of the gauges and it takes some fettling to get it sit on the dash properly. You also have to cut the dash out to fit it, so you want to make sure its definitely what you want lol.

I was thinking of getting this one but its the cutting up the dash i'm a bit scared of.

I wouldnt worry too much about cutting the dash, i would go for the mk2 version, which has better fitment and has some bolts in it which make it easier to get it tighter to the dash.

Ianl has one iirc, worth asking his advice as he has fitted the V1 also in the past, be able to compare the differences in fit.

Dash is 10 bolts if i remember correctly plus dropping of the steering rack, so swapping out shouldn't be too hard if you change your mind later. but acquiring a dash to replace it might be a problem

I've got the v2 from my mate Luke.

nope still prefer groovers, seems to sit nicer on the dash and goes around the top of the air vent. much more subtle

agreed, prefer version 1, plus the amount of times i pop my stereo out it would be a complete pain having the v2 model !

i assume you can still get the centre console out as it has to be out to fit the pod!

you have to cut notches in the top of the centre pannel so it can slide up under the gauge pod as they share the same mountings - thats the main reason i havn't fitted my v2 yet, and also the reason why i got it

really liked the v1 and fitted it to my last zed except for the fact there were no fixings to attach it with and it had to glue on
