Hi.

Just went to fit them to my car there as i have my bumper on.

Tho, the connector on my car and the one on the 99lights are completely different. Phoned up from the company i got them from and was advised i would need an adapter or some kind of different loom? I was pritty sure these lights should just be plug and play, does anybody know of problems like this or where to get and adapter loom or what i may require?

cheers

Craig

for your indicators this is all you'll need to be interested in:

not sure where you got the idea of pos neg and earth from but its a simple 2 wire splice... you'll need to fluke to see which is the power from the indicator stalk, though be careful as if you have kurb lights then that will have 12v permenant when indicating. youll need the one from the flasher.

all you need to do is make a short two wire adaptor loom.

No cutting needed.

And Deffo avoid them orrible Scotchlock splice things.

They are the work of the devil and should be outlawed.

as already said some small crimp on male and female spades of the size used on speakers is all you need.

When they are all pushed on a small dab of non setting silicone will keep the damp/wet out and avoid issues in the fiture.

No cutting. No splicing. No superglueing.

Simples!!

Ok. So say cut the old loom that's on the indicators I have to use that plug, cut off. And use one poitive and negative and try to put them on the pins in the 99spec plug?

I'm p1ss poor at electrical things as I'm sure use can see

they work wonders for me, bit of heat shrink around them and they are fine.

No.

No cutting.

Just make a new 2 wire adaptor loom as I said.

Using the old indicator loom adds another join in the system. Not a good idea.

Just pop round in the morning its only a 15min job.

I wish I could POP round Pete as I'm not sure what your talking about doing if it doesn't involve cutting mate. Tho the 4hour journey to get to you would take some time.lol. can u pm or post an out and out idiots guide if u have a spare 10mins.

Thanks alot to everyone who helped with this, especially slick pete.

Was nice talking to you on the phone matey:D! Its worked a treat this little loop, took abit longer than i thought as i had to fabricate my own crimps for it, but its on and working nice, so thats me now got a proper 99spec front bumper, o yeah:D!

Thanks guys:D!

so was it new lights you got or just converted the old ones

cos i'm needin a set of old style indicators / side lights !!

new lights mate, the 99spec inserts it was. Ive got the old ones there with proper HID bulbs in them, tho i may look to take the indicator hid out.

If your intrested in buying them let me know, the bumper is there aswell which im wanting shot of.

Oops, see below. U have my mobile number lee so u can text if u want.

Just pm me a decent offer dude. The front bumper has the scuffs on it from when I hit the wall. The lights are in good nik tho. Are u having the bumper sprayed again? If it was rubbed down it could be easily touched up imo.

I might keep hold of the hid bulbs tho, price depending.lol. chances are I will keep the indicator ones but could give the Orange bulbs to u.

This weekend im off to drop my car at zedworld mate.

Only really need side/indicators! But as your bumper was already silver it would save a spray job on the black one I've got!

Cool. Well let me know if ur wanting them or what as I will be putting a for sale thread up tomorrow at somepoint

what conditions the bumper in again, will it need a respray ?

I'll def take the lights and need them shortly to pass an mot !

The bumper has the scuffs on the right hand side from where i bumped the wall. Will try and get pictures of it. But overall its ok. Depends if you going to try and sell the N/A as a mint car or not i suppose.
