Hi folks,

 

Just bought a 1996 TT auto and wondered what the box on the left is next to the ecu ?

 

 

My zed doesn't have cruise which I thought this box could be,

 

Any ideas?

i think it might have something to do with the autobox.

hoped it was cruise for a sec there.

 

You cant tell from pic but theres another connection hanging from the loom

just above the box on the left, do the series 4 zeds have the wiring loom ready

for cruise as standard now.

 

Was looking to add in cruise laters

Hicas/power steering ecu... i think, or maybe the autobox ecu, fook i duno now. does the autobox have an ecu?

dont know but if youre needing anything iv got a complete cruise set up on my breaker including a full manual conversion kit still on the car.

well looking for a cruise kit to add to the 96 zed, need the one with the stalk as

putting a momo wheel on it too.

ive got the front from mines tho got the scuffs at the side you would have seen at the show, easy repair tho when in for being sprayed.

taking the front n rears off the silver z then getting a paint job on the full motor

funnily enough, my old black Camaro had a box just like this. no labels on it and i thought it was the ECU at first. Turns out after soem research, it was an amplifier for the original Bose stereo?? weird cos it was solid with no vents or finns?

correct me if im wrong but thats the ecu for the autobox, im fairly sure of it.

Sure it's for autobox or hicas and not CC

Got any front and rear bumbers ?

 

Have front n rear bumpers from my UK spec breaker in my garage, am in Barrhead if it suits so you could see them in the flesh. The rear has the fog light built into the bumper. If its easier text or call me on 07717 228963.

Its the cruise control module ain't it? Was on mine because thats where my iPod box now lives! Mine's a manual though.
