Hi All

Just wanted to say "Hello", although I've been registered on here for sometime now, I finally bought a Z. It's a 1990 na auto but sure looks

good to me. Just got to insure and tax it now, can't wait to drive it.

Anyone know if you can buy new targa seals.

Cheers

looks good :D welcome dno about you but insurance nailed me to the floor haha

if by seals your right arm gets wet when it rains, ive noticed it happens with most peoples so i kinda left mine as its only a drip now and then just dont aim your jetwash there as i found out :glare:

again, welcome

Hollings.

looks good mate, i like the wheels:D!

Welcome to the club mate, nice zed you have bought, Check the outlet pipe for the targas aint blocked or disconnected, you will get a wet floor if they are, tiny little hole in the recess where the targa panel`s sit, stick an air line hose down it and blow all the crap out, it drians out of the bottom of the car:thumbup1:

Welcome bud, nice car :gunsmilie:

Do a search on the taga seals, or leaking taga etc as there have been many threads with tips and solutions to the leaky saga. Some have taken them off and soaked in warm soapy bath, other talk of rubbing in some stuff to make the rubber more like they were when new (bear in mind they are 20yrs old)

Alternatively you can buy new one from zcenter (trader on here) and Z1 motorsports i think. Likewise the other traders (DTA etc) could probably source some for you, but they are not cheap so worth trying the search and as dazVert says check your drain off pipes aren't blocked. (do a search on this also)

Anyway - i hope you love your new car - Oh and try lynbrook for insurance they do second car insurance (comes under classic) and they were the cheapest for me.

once youve got her up and insured next step is some have a good old health check worth its weight in gold really. congrats on ownership i hope you enjoy it

Welcome to the club, and as said, search for targa seals, common problem/fixes. New ones are about £178 per side from Nissan

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I've have missed being in a car club since I sold my Silvia. The targa's are the colour you see them, it's something I never picked up upon.
