Well, i've had my stock bumper modified. had Car mad vents put in with ultra bright LED's for sidelights at the back of them then had them blended in with the front bumper. Spent a lot of time and money and i have to Admit................i'm not that keen on it. :(

Might have looked better on a darker colour car like black maybe. It's grown on me since i first seen it but i may still be in the market for a new one. Perhaps 99 spec.

At least this is a custom one off bumper though that no one else will have.

i think if you had cut the bottom slats out,to open them up it would look a lot better, top looks great ,bottom looks odd compared to the top hth

I really like it mate, different and looks a quality job :cool3:

I would say put a 3/4 size plate on and it may look a little better

Hmmm, i'm not sure mate, the jury's out on this one for me.

Like you said at least it's an original one off, and it looks to be done to a high standard. I didn't realise how much that black strip contributes to the lines.

those really are bright leds

and i think that dazvert is right a 3/4 plate would compliment.

hmmmm....... i think maybe too much of nothingness in the middle? maybe some vents or somthing could have broken up the solid blocky look at the front of it, i cant decide if i like it or not? lol perhaps it would look better on a really highly modified one?? again not sure but very good job and a excellent attempt to at least go againts the grain!

Looks like you've done a brilliant job with it Peter, but I'm with Daz too, a smaller number plate would really finish it off (I know you like your american plates though :))

Sorry do not like at all - makes the front look to heavy and slab fronted. 99spec all the way.

Sorry, not keen on it, looks too blocky, but as a one off I'm sure it will appeal to some.

Yeah, I can't make up my mind. I actually did have the smaller plate on it and it didn't look right. Looked like there was just too much bumper so put the larger plate back on.

As you've probably already realised - somethings just not quite right.

It doesn't look terrible, but it isn't exactly an improvement either.

Good effort though - if everyone followed the same tried and tested routes we'd never come up with anything new. I'd have another stab at it befor you go for the 99 spec - which are pretty common. If at first you don't succeed...

cheers

It's a bit marmite for my liking sorry to say buddy, it's exactly what i was going to do with my scarab but i think i'm glad i've seen it now to settle my mind. I'll stick with the vents as is.

Not necessarily bad and i can see where you were thinking but i'm not sure it works

looks like some kind of bondage thing where you have taped the z's mouth shut.

whats the regi plate on it, california style plates?

Need to be broken up like when it had the standard front strip. To flat faced, good effort though. May be a plate chance might sort it!

Sorry, don't like that at all. Like it's been sat in the microwave for too long and melted. All the proportions are wrong and it looks like it's rammed with filler.

I tend to agree with that si. However, thankfully is is growing on me the more I look at it. Still on the lookout for a 99 spec one I think though.

I remember you explaining your idea at the teesside meet, i think it looks nice. as you said it would suit a darker colour better, but its still deffinatly sumat special.
