got home from work on friday night and parked outside my house

didn't go out all day saturday, went out this morning to find a dent behind the drivers door, presumably someone drove into it.

whats really anoying is they would have had to drive down the pavement and then swing in to my car

no note left, neighbours didn't see anything :(

Ouch, that's harsh. Nice motor too. hopefully won't cost to much to repair. You gonna go the pull and fill route or the total panel replacement route?

not sure, might just sit and cry and hope it goes away. its a bitch of a pannel to replace as it goes all the way from behind the boot to below the door, and round the door post theres so much metal welded with the door catch and seat belt etc. had it replaced on my last car (which had a much bigger dent in the same place) and the door never shut properly after

Thats crap :(

I bet it was done on the friday and with it being dark you just didnt notice it :)

Pull and fill it, will be as good as new.

Thats very strange how thats happened. Maybe not a car. Maybe a buggy or something.

Or a pissed OAP on a disability scooter!

i know exactly how you feel,

me and the mrs went shopping this weekend and put the car in a multistory. came back to find someone has taken out all the drivers side.

my only consilation is that it was only our runabout a3, it was still a tidy car though.

going to see if there was any cctv of it and get the bugger to pay out

could it have been kids on a motorbike or something along those lines Ian...seems very strange given its on the verge side:confused1:

i wondered if it was a football, push chair etc, but it looks so much like a car scrape. i dont see how it could be a car unless someone further down the road who parks on the grass too decided to drive down the pavement and didnt see my car.

starting to think it must have happened in the car park at work on friday, its just that i noticed it straight away this morning, but didn't see it on friday either getting in or out (and i noticed the bird shit on the other side) or when looking out the window at various times on saturday

torn between really pissed off and life's to short to worry

gutted for you mate . looking at the pics it doesnt look like its creased so a good panel beater / coach builder should be able to push that out fairly easily . if its a stock paint code i reckon you are looking around the £200 mark for a finished job . a bitter pill to swallow but hopefully not as bad as you first thought.

andy

Bet you a sack of potatoes it was the people opposite reversing out their drives or their guests. Just the shape of the dent!

Sorry for you bud

Gutted Ian - surely it must have happened elsewhere though? Seems too weird to have happened where you parked up at home :confused1:

Sorry to see this mate. I've got exactly the same type of dent on my passenger side! The previous owner said he'd been hit in a road rage incident.

I was planning on having it Pulled and filled before my respray.
