better off renting one mate...hand it back when finnished with:wink:

black suit is all you need for all occassions, light blue shirt and a jazzy tie and you are sorted.

for a funeral, god forbid, swop the shirt for a white one and the black tie.

all these things can be bought at Tescos, the larger stores and you will easily get the lot for less than fifty nicker!!!!

cheers mate, will have a look tomorrow, gotta go shopping so might go to tesco instead of asda

asda have similar stuff, try both.

a grey suit will also do but not as good as black for a funeral.

i think you can buy shirt and tie sets for around £7.00.

LOL - a little too much info Allan........

But taking on board what you have just said, I have the following nuggets of advice to offer.......

1. Make sure you stick to natural fabrics; linen or wool. Nothing man made - too sweaty and uncomfortable!!

2. When sticking to number 1 above, make sure the trousers are lined around the "underpant area" - preferably with nice non-itchy cotton!! This prevents chaffing........:sweatdrop:

If you get no joy in Tesco, Asda etc; then give M&S a look. You'll find nicer quality and the price tag still shouldn't be too hefty! And as for colour, I'd go for a charcol grey rather than black - black suits still remind me of the "pox doctor's clerk's" comment in an old Steptoe & son......

Richard:cool2:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Totally agree here with this one, now i do spend a bit on good branded clothes, most of my stuff is designer names, but them Tesco suits are great for the price, I wore one for a recent funeral and quite a few people commented on how good it looked £38 all in for trousers and jacket!!!

Tesco are great for cheap everyday work suits. Put a snazzier shirt on and you can look good in them too.

For what its worth, I was in Matalan the other day and saw the suit section. They had a good selection and looked pretty good quality - worth a look.

I can't believe you've never owned a suit before. I buy Tesco suits for work. Have an expensive one for special occasions though, but my work ones tend to get a bit beaten up, so see no point in spending loads on one for that.

Tesco suits are pretty decent quality too.

Mate, I know its cheapo, but Tesco really do have some nice suits at good prices. perfect if it only for a one off.
