Been on a weeks holiday in France and had to take a picture of this nutter re slating a roof in France,Health n Safety not big on the agenda then.What was even funnier was the guy threw the old slates down into the back of his tipper van below !!

These brackets are now banned in the UK , I have used these type a few times and they are very sturdy and safe if used correctly.

ahhh the old "cripple" bars hey Jim..still use mine on certain jobs and ile have to show that pic to my lads and prove how much i spoil them with all this scaff and winches they use now...When i started working 35 years ago we never even had handrails and had to strip and load off the ladders summer and winter:hang::whistling:

Your all heart Bri spoiling yer lads with such safety features,what a bunch of softies :whistling:.I was amazed that anyone would take the risk.one slip and your street pizza.What was also mad is the traffic cones below forming a perimeter 6ft from the base of the building and going out around the van as if outside of that its safe to pass with slates flying through the air :scared:

prob one of these low life sharks who undercut our prices by not costing scaff into his estimate and wins the job...good for him and the customer:mad2:. Goes on here a lot and even more since the credit crunch has hit Jim.
