Right 1st off all before i did anything my car run as sweet as a nut lol

 

Right i have put in 550 injectors so obviously plenum off job. and the boost has been raised to 1.1 bar.

 

Set off and it went pop pop bang and could hardly get up a hill and sounded like a rappid miss fire/ machine gun. Pulled over and noticed the hard pipe had poped off (not tightened up ooppss )

 

So poped that on and away she flew :)

 

But now i have noticed a very loud turbo noise. Like spool up but really loud like an uprated jobby you get on the skylines. so to give you an idea it sounds fookin mental lol!!

 

Any ideas what i can be? i still seem to be holding boost at 1.1 bar and i get the odd hic up. plus she is over fueling.

 

also the spool up noise is instant as soon as there is any boost

boost leak for sure.

 

the noise is air escaping and the over fueling is due to the maf putting in fuel for air that is not going into the engine.

 

now go outside and tighten up the rest of the pipes

Your turbos will be slightly more audible now that you have turned the boost up as they'll be spooling much harder....but as above, sounds like a leak.

boost leak coming from under the plenum i reckon. quite common after the plenum has been removed and not fitted back properly.

Doubt it wouldn't even run with an chip that didn't have a 555 map on it.

Dont think there is any boost pipes under the plenum.

It did run but only just lol!!! it does have the 555 chip in it now though.

 

Defo a boost leak and its comming from the drivers side by the sound of it. sounds just like this
