Hi everyone,

 

i dont have a clue what this switch does. the guy i bought the car off didnt know either but he thinks when he left it on, the battery went dead (not sure if i believe this or not).

 

any ideas? or am i just being stupid...

 

its the red switch in the bottom right of every photo...

 

 

 

Typically an aftermarket switch such as that would be used for Rear fog light(s).

yeah i'd say fog light too as per the mot standards fog switch has to illuminate when in use

isn't that a uk spec z though looking at clocks? they have rear fog lights on the switch on the right pod

nope, jap = -7 +7

uk = -14 +14

No jap clocks

Theoretically, it could belong to anything. Typically i'd say fog lights, that's the most common but i have had them wired up to footwell neons, fans where the sensor has broken, and a myriad of other things. Take the switch out and see if you can see any wires going anywhere.

he is right tho, haha, will be fog lights, i had an unknown switch, traced it through and found the wires stashed above the fuel tank, saved me a job in the end wiring it up... much nicer switch than that tho :)
