wow. thats some rust.

its amazing what a bodykit can cover up.

i guess tt subframes and diffs are worth nothing these days. shame as ive got two spares.

am sure they can fix her up !

yeah they could have fixed it for around 5k. but that bill would have surely went through the roof once the kit was off and all that was revealed!

Just shows your what bodykits do hide! no matter how clean you think your car is.

dibs on the rear discs and offside wing mirror :hyper:

that will be £200 please.:sailor:

Which is why bodykits are a bad idea to a degree.

Still think the majority of UK cars are rusty trouble, the daily driver UK cars that are 17+years old have being subjected to a life time of naff weather.

This is not to offend any UK 300 owners though, I know there are still some cherished minters around.

And some Jap spec cars have been in the UK for nearly 10 years, those that have and been daily driven may be heading the same way.

And then you have Fanny's - like me who have a fresh import and hide it away in anything other than fine weather!

Just had my 3rd mot since owning it, done only 4k since the last, tester said was like new underneath. Shame about the smokey tubs though!

If your going to use it daily in all weathers, get it really well waxoiled or similar underneath and remove arch liners do behind those as well -give the car a fighting chance and remember they are a product of the 90's.

Todays cars seem to be much more corrosion resistant.

Damn! Look at that rust!!!

Where?? i cant see any:surrender:

todays cars are just as bad if you ask me, a mates 2002 ford focus failed on corrosion to the sills, and alot of 2000 vectras, corsa's, fiestas etc.. are suffering badly from rot already. so for zed to last 15 years is pretty good, let alone 20 years,

ooopppss  didnt mean to shout! ^^

It makes no sense to have bodypanels that have a non-finite life for mass production cars. If you made cars that never rusted or broke down, there would be no demands for new vehicles. Car companies could make vehicles that would last 50 years, but it would make no sense.
