The shock is I don't have any :cowboy: lol Well a bit of surface :detective:

Finally got round to dropping the rear sub frame today. I'm really chuffed with the state of the car underneath. Sills are solid, there is a 50p size hole on the N/S side but that has been removed and treated (inside as well) brake pipes are fine with just a bit of surface rust but I will be replacing the worst of them. Strangely the HICAS pipes are really rusted, don't know how these have gone but the brakes are still OK? Not that it matters as I'm ditching them. The rest is just surface rust which I'll be removing and then treating and undersealing the whole back end, ready for my newly rebuilt spare subframe :gunsmilie:

Couldn't really get round the other side for pics as there isn't enough room.

Had to replace it mate. The old one had a massive dent in the side :wack:. The car will be getting a full respray. I've got a jdm smoothed rear bumper and 99 spec spoiler to go on as well :thumbup1:

incredible for a uk mate, i seen one on a trailer on the motorway a few weeks ago and it was aufull! there were pretty much no sills on it and the rear arches had rust holes bigger than my fist, and the tailgate was almost made of rust, and it was a k plate so not the earliest ones! it was shocking! was also in white which made it worse again.
