I've had this bumper for ages, and decided its time to do 'something' with it. :cowboy:

Some Z's I see with scarab bumpers look brilliant (Daz's & Nick's for example), whereas others dont look so good. I think they suit dark colour cars better, which is good as my car is going 'a dark colour' (not decided which yet!)

So please air your views whether you think it will look good or not, and help me decide. One plus point is that it'll give me far superior air flow to the intercoolers, but I've also got carbon fog light ducts to go in. The nose panel is another 'unsure' mod.

ps. I know its not fitted on properly :whistling:

I honestly think they are the best looking front for the 300zx!! I would even say they look better than the 99 spec that comes a close 2nd, IMO! Agree with the darker colours though. I looked all over for mine as it was what i wanted.

Fit it Baz!

Thanks for the support guys.. As soon as I got the zed I wanted a scarab bumper, ended up travelling across the other side of the country to Bri's house for it.. then I guess the likes of FunkySi put me off fitting it! I guess at the end of the day I can always go back to standard if I fitted it.

daz is the backend of your vert jacked up there? if not how the hell do you get over peed bumps... and you want a lip! :p

Damn! you caught me out

Whats the differance between this bumper and a West Wings one?

the Wings West one is kind of 'tucked in' a little at the centre - like mine. Other than that I think they're pretty much identical

don't listen to him :tt2: lol do what your heart tells you

I've always thought its ok, definatly one of the better aftermarket choices. Used to be a lot more popular than it is these days.

Its aggressive without being ugly but It does lose the swag line so does'nt really match the sides (one of funkyi's pet peeves)

Needs skirts though, always thought they looked stupid on Z's without skirts.

Exactly what Legrath says, needs simple skirts to match it up! And with that usually comes with the necessity for a rear bumper/lip. The bomex one is usually the least offensive I find. It will require 18" wheels too minimum to make it look right. Otherwise not a bad choice if painted/fitted right and goes with your nose panel :)

I don't have skirts but yeah if I fit this bumper I'll get some. Should look good with the work equips too.

come to think of it.. it's exactly what the equips are screaming out for!! a slightly deeper kit

haha not quite dazza... it needs the brackets and stuff swapping over from the old bumper, but its going to stay off until the car is painted. Can't wait til its all done and ready, will be painted within the next month
