Do ordinary people realy need guns?

to be honest yes i would have wanted a gun to protect my loved ones when faced with a spree killer on the rampage....i wouldnt have gone out looking for him but if he came my way i'd have a fighting chance to stop him

i reckon theres @ 2million gun licenses in the UK all owned by ordinary people, the death rate for guns here in the UK is the same as Japan where they have @ 100 licenses....the problem isnt related to the owners or numbers of guns

To be honest if you have gone that far off the deep end a knife, car, lump of wood, metal bar, rock, spade, pitchfork, etc etc etc will have done the same job as the shotgun and in most cases killed more people than the shotgun would have.

Yes they do ,for a better understanding of gun ownership look here http://www.basc.org.uk/....It took me 18 months to get my firearm licence its not an easy thing to get plus it is very easy to lose .

All these Gun Laws are pointless. if you are that much of a psycho that you are going to go and gun innocent people down, then you will obtain the weapons through whatever means possible.

which highlights the fact that even with no gun this man had toppled that far off the edge that his taxi into a crowded bus stop would of been easly within his mind frame

Such a sad occurrence; otherwise only seen in the mad sad religious cults from places like Waco in the USA.....

 

......brings back memories of Michael Ryan in Hungerford back in the 1980s. I still can't pass the M4 exit for Hungerford without thinking of that incident.
