I just wondered what people do with their spare wheel. I have 19" wheels on my Z so the space saver is of no use. I have a compressor in case I have a flat but Im unsure if it the law to carry one any info?:helpsmilie:

Pretty sure that the mot says that the spare wheel must be servicable but it doesn't say that you must have one. Could be wrong tho'

nope you dont have to carry a spare but if you do it has to be road legal but makes sense to carry 1 in case u get a flat

Ive took mine out MOT states that if a spare wheel is there it needs to be servicebale but it doesnt have to be there. Ive got break down cover to get places if i have a tyre problem.

Why is the space saver no use?? The rolling radius should be the same.

Yup - I agree with what Phil says!! The bigger the rim the lower profile tyres you have; thus keeping the rolling radius constant (so as not to upset speedo/ABS etc).

Check the T&Cs there mate! Sometimes the AA/RAC will not provide free assistance for a puncture if you do not carry a servicable spare - ie it's your own fault if you cannot be "put back on the road."
