i know people use these when track days have noise restrictions so i doubt it alters performance that much

They work a treat. I fitted one to the Fto and it did make a differance :)

difference in just the sound or performance?

Well it's of ebay so it probably adds 30 BHP

Sounds (pun) good to me. I think regardless of Si's "sh*t" comment, got to be worth a try.

Well, just so you know my silencers turned up yesterday, fitted them in 10 minutes. And they're bloody brilliant!!

No loss of power, fuel economy is about the same, but oh what a difference to inside the car. Exhaust has still got the rasp at 50% closed, but no droning noise. Worth every penny if you get p*ssied off with long journey droning!! :thumbup1:

If you've got straight 4-5" bore they are good, and the ones I got from the link are good quality.
