the reason he stepped down was mr klegg would only consider talks with Labour if brown stepped down! excellent news i think lib-dem/Labour would be better than lib-dem/toury as the touries are far right wing & lib-dem & Labour are both left wing so would work better together otherwise its just gonna be an up hill struggle!

Doesnt matter if the libdems and labour get into bed together, they still havnt got enough seats LOL (315 in total) So they need to negotiate with all the "others" to just scrape enough which will just get endless, imagine trying to get a green party MP to agree to anything that wasnt a Gwiz with lettuce?!

i might be thick but what is this left wing, right wing thingy mean

I think it refers to the side of the house they sit in parliament!

Just because he is Scottish, doesnt mean we want him back !!:whistling:

One for all you Labour supporters out there ?

You'll remember the Lisbon Treaty of Europe? The one that Labour promised a referendum on in their 2005 manifesto? The one that they then claimed was just a "tidying up excersise" and therefore we didn't need a referendum on?

The very same one that Gordy signed by flying in the day after the official ceromony when all the cameras had gone?

Yes, that one. It's just a treaty. Doesn't affect Britain at all. I mean, one of the minor points of the treaty is that qualified majority voting counts for pushing through directives.

Under the old system, Britain (and everyone else) had a Veto. Now, we don't, thanks to Gordy.

What could possibly go wrong?..............................

The deal, effectively to shore up the euro, was denounced as a “stitch-up” last night after it emerged Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President and Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, had devised it behind closed doors and were attempting to push it through at a time when there is no clear government in Britain.

Euro-zone leaders are attempting to get round objections from countries such as Britain by invoking Article 122 of the Lisbon Treaty, intended to enable a collective response to natural disasters. This does not need unanimous agreement.

British exposure to liabilities created by a bail-out under the scheme would amount to around 10 per cent of the total loan. If a country failed to repay, the cost to Britain would be £10 billion (£8.6 billion) for every £100 billion on which it defaulted.

Just to summerize then.

Labour promise a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

Labour go back on the referendum and deny the people a say.

Labour bankrupts the country ensuring that any government has to make cuts.

Britain, whilst virtually bankrupt, becomes responsible for 10% of the debts of countries like Greece, Portugal, Spain, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all, effectively having to prop up a foreign currency.

Thanks Gordy ! :cowboy:

HEAR HEAR!.

The first thing any of them do is line their own pockets. All this wind and piss they have been spouting will amount to nothing. We will be in a worse state in all aspects of life at the next election. They will still be spouting the same old shite though promising reforms and improvements - bullshit all of it.

They are so out of touch with the people because they are professional politicians. They studied it at uni. They have never had a proper job so they have no clue about normal life.

Vote me in, here is my changes:

1. 100 mph speed limit on motorways but god help you if you get caught speeding in town, especially in school areas (you little chav corsa twat) LOL.

2. No work - no pay, if you are able to work you will. I don't care if it's doing pensioners gardens or painting out graffitti. I will find you something and if you refuse, no dosh.

3. Petrol will be 50p a litre and the lost tax will be imposed on those who are driving with no tax, test and insurance (especially insurance).

4. The next person found in a stolen car, someone elses house or vandalising property will be flogged on tv (it'll get more viewers than the X factor) and no bleeding heart do gooders will stop it happening.

5. There will be no more banging you on the head with a balloon as a punishment for crime. How often do you see these *******s running riot for miles in stolen cars to be told they were let off. No more, you are going away for a long time and while you're there, it's going to be terrible.

I have about another 200 but you get the drift.

Feel free to add any more

a man after my own heart!

I know - what a farce! In times like this, common sence should prevail. Whilst The Conservatives did not get an overall majority, they certainly did in England. The country has mroe or less endorsed a Conservative government so any attempr by Labour (under any leader) to remain in power is inherantly wrong. And as for the Lib Dems; they failed miserably to win public support so they should not be so arrogant as to think they have the right to hold the key to govermnent. A coalition of losers - that is not democracy. Then there's Lib dem's absurd idea of PR voting...... Why? Only so they can hold the balance of power (and the country to ramsom) for ever. Come on people - we'd have this situation after EVERY election if the Lib Dems got their way!!!

I don't have to Steve - that gets my vote already!!!

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I will add although 100mph is good, thre should also be a minimum speed limit, police marksmen on bridges for people who drop below 70...

Also ban anything towing from anywhere but the inside lane! That includes wagons who spend miles overtaking each other to gain a few yards!

Oh! And immediate automatically deducted fines for people in the WRONG LANE!

Oh joy, does this mean that we're going to have yet another leader that wasn't elected?

My Budget

1. All civil service pensions to be the same as most of the private sector (Money Purchase) we cant afford to pay all these final salary scheme deficits any more. Locally 17% yes 17% of my council tax was to prop their pension funds up.

2. Remove all middle management types from the civil service, a friend of mine who is a nurse says she has so many managers the dont know whats going on!.

3. Caravan tax, they clog the roads up and do it for free, you should see the new forest at the weekends.

4. Get our troops home, stop the killing and save some cash in a war that cant be won.

5. Dont scrap the nuclear deterrant (as we have not been at war since we have had it) but just have enough to wipe the world out once not five times saving a stack of cash.

6. Dont allow speed camaras to give you points with the fine, its a licence killer. Have the option to pay a bit more and not get the points.

7. If you are on benefits 6 months max before you go on a civil work programme, even if it is just breaking rocks up or licking stamps. Genuine people will soon find a job if they are looking. The false claimers who cant be assed to work will just sit at home with no dole.

8. Scrap ID cards, and remove imos, on the TV they arrest them and then loose them all the time as they trust them to report to the Police station, just throw the feckers out.

9. Recuce the number of MPs by 25% we dont need them all and they are all crocked saving a few quid.

10. A tax break for those who want to have private health cover at work, at the moment you get taxed on it and you are taking stress off the NHS.
