HI does anyone know of any company that can make up carbon fiber parts to our own spec in the UK? Not plastic but real carbon fiber. Worth a try whihc is why im asking on here.

I am sure car.mad can make stuff out of carbon fibre. Pretty sure he's tried using the stuff.

yes, theres a bloke called funkyboogalooo (no kidding!!) on that will make you anything from spoilers to bonnets, door handles to centre consels etc.

 

all with carbon fibre ;)

You could try contacting Fibre-Lyte (http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk). They do mostly carbon fibre parts for bikes and kit cars but are a friendly bunch and will look at any other projects.

 

However, be forewarned that raw carbon fibre material has shot up in price astronomically which means it won't be economical to have a single item designed and manufactured. I normally get CF parts made in batches of 20 to make it financially worth while but at the current material cost I can't afford to do such a limited production run anymore ...

Really Dan!! I'm surprised to hear that - I have found that Epoxy and the various exotic carbon fabrics have actually come down in price about 10% from what I was paying last year - same suppliers. 2 part foam has gone up a lot though ;-))

i want this wrapping for my cam covers and throttle body cover :)
