well got to yorkshire in my Z yesterday and after driving over a plank of wood at 80 mph have got a vibration on my wheels so thought i`d go to a local place to have wheels balanced ,went to kwikfit in wakefield and the manager told me that my front tryes are on the legal limit and i need 2 new tryes ,so i said they are legal so i only need them balanced to which he replyed there machine will only balance with decend tryes ,so i said no thanks and went to just tryes and they did both and told me that they need changing as they are close to the limit but no hard sell ,all i can say is there is a reason why i never usually go to kwikfit and it has been proved once again "robbing feckers!!"

Just had a mate round who was talking about his exhaust don't know the car some small kia or equivalent but he just got done for over £500 for a full system inc. cat.

He only went with a dodgy tailpipe.

I think that just about sums up "Kwak Fart" - I'd report them to their head office......

yep i went to them about 4 yrs ago for brake shoes and they tried to sell me new discs so time hasn`t changed there policy ,

i worked for kwik sh*t for 2 years, the reason i left is because the manager got really obsesive with making us (other staff) to sell anything and everything on the car! so one day i refused to sell some disks on car when he told me too because i could see that the disks were almost new and somone had just put the old pads in, anyway i was pretty much made to leave rather than getting sacked..

 

 

The problem is the manager has a target to achieve every month and if the target is met the manager gets a massive bonus! sometimes the bounus is almost the salary amount if you do really well, so you can imagine why they do anything and everything to sell stuff...
