I`ve been messing all weekend trying to get the double din facier to look right, so here it is not quite finished, a little more sanding and shes ready for the paint.

Also been painting the headlight inners and might be going for the stealth look, but not quite sure yet? I still like the chrome headlights:whistling:

good work matey, wish I had the know-how to do that with the interior trim :(

I think the chrome headlights suit it, but I must admit I am a big fan of the black insides

No mate, I`ve got that one in my TT , the double din one is from the yellow car, i used it as an experiment as it was cracked in the corner.

Not sure on the stealth look yet, my girlfriend likes the chrome better as do my mates and some of the neighbours as they were round at mine today:yes: but i will swap and see what they look like when all finished

Baz its not hard at all mate, Its only like icing a cake!! mix the body filler, let it go hard and then keep sanding and testing the fit until it fits perfect. just trial and error, if it goes too deep or out of shape, add more filler:wink:

rather cheeky i know as its a little off topic but daz those fog youve got are they led? they look awesome, where did they come from?

Looks great Daz :) - I never knew the Projector surround which you are chroming come off from the rest of the panel...

Daz looking good !!!!, you will find you will probably need to fiberglass the metal insert in to put the strength back in it as you have to loose the metal bracket behind. Also it will go in the car flush without the need to remove or adapt any of the plastic in the dash if you remove the metal bracket in there as well and wiggle it in.

Cant wait to see it all done.. love the lights.

Daz, what colour are you going to do the centre consol in? Normal satin/plastic look or are you going for like a Piano black or something?

Not cheeky at all mate, Good and bad news! even thought they look good in the pictures they are a little on the small side, they fit perfect height wise but they leave a 10mm gap either side of the fog holes, at the moment the holes are filled with black silicon and look tacky close up, I have today been messing about with pieces of perspex and window tint, tying to get the perfect finish, but its hard to get it to look factory/ish, the lights are really cheap from Hong kong, i will add a link when i find it, so mine are an experiment really, and I`m looking hard to find some decent ones that fit perfect as i love the look of the leds.

Daz.

Not sure yet, I think its best to keep it stock looking, but my mate who sprays my stuff has done his 200sx facier in piano black and it look the nuts, what would you do?:thumbup1:

thanks mate, yes, just 3 little screws behind the main unit and they come off easy:wink:

I generally don't like colours on various interior panels, but piano black is slick and modern looking. If you get a really classy head unit...that's also like a piano black, then it'll look very good IMO.

Alpine head units use a shiney black plastic. Mount it flush and i think it'll look great.

Cheers Martin, I`ve done mine a little different, I have secured the head unit in place first and I`m using the facier as a cover, I though it would be easier this way, I have done away with the plastic cover trim that hides the screws and the facier just slides over quite easy, hope it works :sweatdrop:

Yeh, my cheap hong kong head unit is shiny piano black and looks quite good, so I will go for the same effect, if it looks pants he can spray it again to more of a stock colour. Cheerz :flowers:

Yeah mine are all in and it looks mint, 100X better than chrome. It looks std but more fresh and modern f that makes sence.

I think chrome can look really takky. most cars these days are returning to black inserts.

I would get pics but its at the spray shop
