Hi All,

Im hoping you can help me?

Im having alot of trouble with clearence of my engine mount agaist my right side turbo!

Ive ground and cut away so much of the bracket that it will not be strong enough to hold the weight of the engine.

Has anyone else used GD manifolds?

Is there anyother mounts out there i can use? As it dont look like one can be made to fit at the moment unless i miss an surporting bolt out.

Cheers

Dan

i dont know of any other mount you can use. the only way i know of is to grind away as you have and use an angled pipe straight off the tub.

if there is any other way or different mounts, i would be very interested in knowing about them :)

Is there room to build up the other side of the bracket to put some strenght back into it.

Have you got any pictures.

Paul

there is room on the under side of the leg so, it could be possible to weld some strengtheners on it if you find a decent ally welding shop

If you could let me have a bracket and templates of the strengtheners I will see what I can do.

There has benn some talk on tt.net regarding the use of FORD TRUCK engine mounts, and I believe JimmyTT had a look at this option some time ago when his engine was out.

I found these links:
