The red and black one is mine, it has an uaftermarket rad and those blue pipes are now red :D behind the battery is resprayed now too so its cleaner :D

ooo and i also have HSD coilovers so there is some green there too.

looks nice, I am moving my power steering pot to the far left corner as well. Fuse box on mine was a big job and is now out the way.

Bypass the secondary clutch bleader behind the left light with a braided hose all the way to the slave cylinder. Then rip out all the crap that went with it as well as the piping and the protective brackets.

Throw the Hicas in the bin... that makes more room

Remove all the crap that goes to the cluch and brake booster from the plenham. You just need a few pipes with no return valves. Then the harder to do bits are just the fuse box and the power steering pump. If you move the PSP right out the way you will need to get some new pipes made up.

They look lush like this!

Sorry to jump on the thread. Madmax do you have any pictures of this could be interested in doing this myself?

Sorry again.

Cheers,

Ant

some great pics there, good thread as I was after inspiration to tidy up too

One of my favorites

Yup, one of mine too. I'd have left out the carbon fibre though, but that's pretty much spot on. No multi coloured or garish hoses, just nice and easy on the eye. Minimising the colours IMO is the best way to make a slick looking car.

thanks for all the pics guys,

so far i have ditched the hicas, all the aiv valves etc, no cruise control, clutch bleeder, welded up all the holes and smoothed the mounts for the hicas.

i still have the pas pot mountings but i think after seeing some of the pics i might dith that and relocate.

i am also planning on moving the fuse box to under the wing, relocate thae battery to the boot (small dry cell) and remove the battery tray.

i would also like to do something with the fuel filter -any thoughts

Ant you bay looks fantastic, mine is black aswell. all hoses etc will be black with the odd bit of alloy and crome around. i may paint the plemum crackle red but im not too sure on that yet. but it would be the only coloured item.

keep the ideas comming

Well I can honestly say they all look friggin amazing!!!!!! Well done to all those who have attempted that, I suspect my winter project will be attempting something like Ant 300zx`s on the vert :bow::bow:

I moved mine to the where the battery tray is located.

I have ditched and moved most of the items in my bay too. The last job to do before respray is to move the fuse box to the battery tray area as well.

had mine done as well.

My god that's bloody gorgeous man! I'm looking at these pics with interest as i've got to do something with all the missing components in the engine bay of the V8 (obviously hicas etc) but thinking i might go further and move the fusebox to the boot like i was planning now. Quite a bit of soldering to do but it would be worth it!

I was round at luke's discussing this and he told me that the wires that are already there can be rethreaded through the wheel arch area to give you some more room so i would think you should be able get it right back there, just the loom to the lights that's going ot cause you a problem

where have people mounted the box under the arch?

i have a spare loom so i could use that to extend the wires but it would be nice not to cut too many

I used a 200zx fuel filter, its a lot smaller and mounted it lower down near the battery tray. I have a front mount intercooler so we put the fuse box behind the bumper. Accessable from under the car or through the fog light.
