I really cannot make up my mind if these will look good on my car??

For the people that bought them in the group buy have you fitted them yet and what have you done with them???

I dont want to chrome them because on a black car they will look way to bright.

I was thinking of spraying them in a bright silver like below and put a mirror film around the center parts (light section)

99spec but in black or gloss black?? but it might not be worth the hassle lol!!!

Or just leave the stock ones in as i think it looks aggressive. Here is my car and issacs side by side and he has stock ones but chromed (spray)

So what are your thoughts people??

Just been looking for you, but non in which you can see very good, I used Chrome fablon( sticky back plastic) and looks 90% good, a few minor air bubbles here and there but overall not bad, i will take some pics tommorrow if you want, and i must say you car looks so much better than gay boyz, looks like yours is ready to have that front bumper ripped right off if you go over a pebble!!

I like Isaac`s reg plate better though

Dave dont forget to measure the round light in the headlight for me, outer circumference.

Cheers

Graham

Heat them up with a paint stripper or hairdryer to seperate the glass from the adhesive. Without doing that there is a good chance you will chip or break them trying to get the glass off. I did mine in chrome spray and they look great. Getting the headlights out is a bit of a pain in the ass but well worth it.

My thoughts are that you should really lower your car

hth :winkiss:

I do like the black insides though, like you say looks more aggressive. Saying that though, Isaac's looks good but maybe because it goes well with the grey.

I was thinking about this the other day but like you say which looks better. Personally I would have them silver as its a lot of hassle just to have them black.

I wish I could buy your abflug bumper!

I think i might leace them stock but i need to see some pics of chromed ones etc

For £500 i will make you one

If I had £500 I would :thumbup1:

Its probably the only aftermarket bumper I like and it seems to suit the zed so much better than others.

Give it a few weeks dave and ill show you on my car with the silver inserts and your bumper :lol::lol:

Craig

Dave,

First off I thought I was taking my time sorting these out ;)

Secondly, although I've posted these up before, I thought I would again :innocent:

So, the good weather is approaching soon, so i must get on with mine :cool2:

I've never seen the appeal in chromed headlight backings (99-spec ones apart). The OEM black ones look far more mean and aggressive. Certainly something I'd NEVER do is chrome them.

What happened to Chris who supplied these for the GB (I believe)?

I have tried to contact him many times and got nowhere? Is he still around/trading? Have I missed something ;-)

It was me that made them for the group buy bud lol!!! Chris was going to do the chromeing on them but he dissapeared :shifty:

Im with Si i dont think i would chrome stock ones. but i also wouldnt chrome the 99 spec ones as it is way to bright on a black car.

Yes. Black chrome. Also do the rings round the projectors in brushed alloy. This looks better than stock and 29million times better than 'orrible chromed stock backings.

looks no differant to a perfect gloss black lol!!!!

I think i might do them in gloss black then, will get the sprayer to do it, They would look great with the clear lense.

Where would you get brused alliminum paint??

I agree with Si, I like the brushed alloy look on the projector only, with a deep glossy black affair on the inside lower. It's the best/least tacky thing you can do with them I have seen and although the 99 spec look are rare, I still prefer pre-99 look, it is definately more aggresive and not as Bug-eyed.
