I had a new standard excedy one in my impreza, and tor it to bits at santa pod, but I had a uprated excedy one in my old wrx and was really good, but juddery when setting off mate.

I have a RPS Street Max, i have around 350BHP @ fly, and it holds Very well.

Dont bother with paddle/puck clutches, stick to full face clutches.

RPS Sport Street is ideal for your needs, and is a very popular option. Z1motorsport also do their own brand of clutches which seem ok and do not cost as much.

The RPS max Street mentioned above will hold even more, but has a heavier pedal and costs more.

a decent stock clutch should be able to hold 350 easily. I've had an RPS street sport for about 3 years and its not let me down (yet)

From experience Dave, I totally disagree with that statement, I bought one of their performance clutches and it lasted just over 4 months before it started slipping. When it was taken out it had fecked me lightweight flywheel as well.:mad2: Jimmers car had a cheap paddle clutch fitted in it for a couple of years, and it performed fantastically even with 450 bhp being steamed through it. It was so good he now has it mounted and framed on his garage wall.:tt1:

ah right, not good, the Z1 clutches seems quite a popular choice over on the U.S forums.

in General a Puck/Paddle clutch will hold more power than a Full face Item, but at the sacrifice of driveablity/Usability on the road.

IMO Its not nessesary to go down this route for a road car when there are Full face clutches able to hold such power fine.
